TEL AVIV In an extraordinary move that could mean billions lost to the American economy, Gulf monarchs meeting Tuesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, took a closed-door decision to potentially withhold investments from U.S. military firms if the terms of any final agreement with Iran causes significant harm to the Sunni Arab states.
The meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council brought together leaders from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
All of those countries, aside from Oman, participated in the Saudi-led strikes targeting Iranian-backed rebels in Yemen.
According to a source who took part in the discussions, the Gulf countries talked about the possibility of providing a future advantage in weapons deals to European firms, particularly those based in France, Germany and Britain, along with companies in China. The move would take place pending the outcome of any final deal between Iran, the Obama administration and Western powers.
There was no mention of an economic boycott, said the source, who told WND the discussions were limited to military sales from the U.S. government and private American firms.
This is kind of the start of financial sanctions on the USA in case a bad agreement is signed, the source said. It could develop beyond military spending.
During the summit, the Gulf countries expressed appreciation for the role of European countries, especially France, in opposing aspects of the U.S.-led talks with Tehran.
Indeed, French President Francois Hollande became the first Western leader to take part in the Sunni-dominated Gulf Cooperation Council meeting Tuesday.

As the saying goes, "money talks." When jobs are threatened, people take notice. However the threat of nuclear blackmail on allies and America is no big deal. We'll worry about that if it happens, according to the liberal mindset who live in a fantasy world that never was and never will be.
I live in the real world and there are bad people, some of whom run countries that do bad things to their own citizens as well as those of other countries. Let's not be an enabler of despotism.
Can’t wait until 0bama hears about this on the news.
LOL. Maybe there will be a news flash on the Golf Channel for him to hear about it.
Now Obama’s plan becomes crystal...
and doesn’t it terrify you that his approval rating stayed above 5 percent when he uttered that the first time, no less several times.
If we are scratching and clawing to beat an old, haggard, ugly, cruel, ruthless, worthless creature with a horrible track record who’s following someone from her own party with a six year horrifying track record, well..words escape me.
We not only have to win, but turn the tides with a long complete strategy, like the lefties did over 40 years ago with control of our schools and media.
...Barack Obama, John Kerry and most of the U.S. Senate...
...and ISIS , of course.
France, Britain, Germany, Russia, and China all signed off on the agreement. So who will they buy their arms from?
Wow. It seems NOBODY likes Iran...
...except Barack Obama, John Kerry and most of the U.S. Senate...
...and ISIS , of course.
What, do they WANT a bad deal to go through? Obama would LOVE to see this happen!
The hilarious thing was the defense contractors that “spoke with the governor of Indiana to put pressure on” in order to push gay marriage / non-passage of the Indiana RFPA, and dismissed the hypocrisy of doing business with Saudi Arabia which executes gays.
And now they may lose the business they saw as more important than their morals because Obama is soft with terrorists.
WWIII:
The Army of Hasan: White Mosque, ISIS, N. Korea, slavers,
al Qaeda, Iran, Turkey, Moslem Brotherhood, Nazis,
and the “US” Congress DNC and RINOs (on their backs).
vs.
The Army of Freedom: the American People,
the US Constitution, Tea Party,
conservatives, America’s Obama-dissed allies,
Earth’s remaining Free People against Slavery,
including by miracle Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel allied.
One thing you can say, Obama has brought Israel and the Saudis/Egypt/Gulf states closer together. By selling them all out to the Brotherhood. All for a greater Iran.

These aren't sanctions. It's not a boycott. Simply Arab states shifting purchases to nations they perceive as friends. Iran's friends, and they perceive the US as an advocate of a nuclear Iran, aren't their friends. Common sense. Who knows, in a few years maybe we'll have a President and SOS with common sense, maybe not. Former allies will always know bonds are one election away, and America has lots of loudmouth community organizers.
Um, I don’t think you understood my comment...
Unfortunately correct; this is one of the reasons why it is so hard to pressure Obama - threats to hurt the US are just great to him. The more damage he can do to the US and all of Western civilization, the better. He wants to extend radical Islam throughout the world and Iran is his current vessel of choice.
Obama and Iran hate America and Israel. This threat against American military companies is therefore an encouragement to both to secure a BAD deal that (1) hurts American economic interests and (2) helps Iran get a nuke ASAP.
IOW, Obama sees sanctions against America as a good thing - a feature, not a bug. That is encouraging him to push through this horrible deal. Of course, he will neve admit it is a bad deal or that he would be thrilled to see sanctions against the U.S. Hence, I am definitely not parroting his (or Iran’s) talking points. Quite the opposite in fact.
