Poll: Bush trails most of GOP field in Iowa [Walker leads]

WASHINGTON (CNN) —Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush may be the most popular Republican presidential hopeful nationwide, but he trails his rivals badly in the critical state of Iowa, according to a new poll released Wednesday....

The top Republican in Iowa is Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who garnered support from 21% of those surveyed. Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Ted Cruz of Texas, Marco Rubio of Florida, and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee are tightly packed for second place, each earned between 13% and 11% support. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who unveiled his campaign on Monday, tallied 7% of the vote....

May 6, 2015 - Walker In Front Of Pack In Iowa GOP Caucus, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds; At 5%, Bush Is A Distant Seventh

"Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is the top dog with a big early lead in the Iowa Republican Caucus, with a four-way scramble for second place and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in seventh place with 5 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

Walker is at 21 percent of likely GOP caucus participants, compared to 25 percent in a February 25 poll by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University.

In the scramble for second place are U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida with 13 percent each, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas with 12 percent and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee with 11 percent. Physician Ben Carson has 7 percent, with 5 percent for Bush. No other candidate is above 3 percent and 6 percent are undecided. ...."

"In the 2016 presidential race, a new poll shows New Jersey Republicans prefer a governor who isn’t theirs.

Their choice would be Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. According to a Monmouth University poll released today, in a matchup between Walker and Gov. Christie, 44 percent of New Jersey Republicans would pick Walker, while 30 percent would go with their own governor. Three months ago, the state’s Republicans had favored Christie over Walker, 51 percent to 30 percent."......

State by state, I just don’t see primary results getting any better than 2nd place in any state. For Bush, the donor list will get fairly small after five or six 2nd-place winnings.

I live in NJ and although I would rather have Christie as my governor than any of the infinitely horrible dem alternatives, I absolutely do not want Christie to run for president. Absolutely not.

Bush, Christie, Huckabee (pronounced with a leading F) should all pack up and go home.

Jeb and the Bush Machine are holding out for the “winner take all” delegate grab in Florida.

They expect the rest of the field to split the “proportional” delegates in the 2 weeks now allowed for early primaries (had been a month).

Then the Bushes plan to take control with their money and GOP-e push.

Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio Win Top GOP Spots in New NBC/WSJ Poll

"Asked which Republican hopeful would be their first choice to win the party's primary, 23 percent of GOP primary voters chose Bush. An additional 14 percent picked him as a second choice.

Eighteen percent of GOP primary voters said that they favored Rubio most, while another 23 percent selected the Florida senator as their second choice for the Republican nod....."

Maybe the one good thing Rubio can do for us is win in Florida.

It will be interesting to see if Bush gets in, and if he doesn’t, who he throws his weight ($$$) behind.

Bush might win the primary by tricks, cons, crimes and the help of dems, but he won’t win the election.

No way the American people elect another Bush.
