Doesn’t matter what the court rules - they have no “standing” to make such a call. Marriage was ordained as being between a man and a woman loooooong before governments were instituted among men. A ruling on this means absolutely nothing.
Nothing against the Air Force but Graham is no grunt. Just another spineless go along to get along kind of guy.
The one bright side of the Supreme Court passing gay marriage is that maybe Lindsey can finally get married, settle down and retire.
Maybe your life is ruled by activist lawyers, Linda, but mine is not.
>> “Yes, I believe marriage has stood the test of time between a man and a woman, ordained by God...”
On the other hand, “screw GOD” if it comes down to that and “move on”? Not a real smart long term plan, Linda.
McCain is at least straight. Linda Graham is a bone smuggler par excellence.
I’m sure Graham has his formal gown already picked out for the celebration.
Sure Lindsey, but we already know that the GOPe stands for absolutely nothing. That’s why it’s laughable that they’ve been suckering in true conservatives with their rhetoric “opposing” Roe v Wade for decades. You’ve given in on so many issues now, that the mask is gone and you’re bleeding conservatives. So now you’re going to make the GOP tent so big, that it will mesh with the rat tent, to get voters.
He is no better than the libertarians who argue that the government should have no role in marriage anyway.
I was gonna help Linda pack, but then realized the title was truncated.
if the Supreme Court rules same-sex marriage bans unconstitutional, then it will be time for Republicans to move on.
I understand Pr0n is protected by the first amendment. I’ve moved on. I don’t fight it in the courts. I just make it clear at every chance it comes up that it’s as disgusting as it ever was. Same here.
Don’t let the door hit ya...
Then will be the time to move, because at that time the GOPe leadership will be all set to run their favorite play... speak loudly and complain there is nothing they can do.
It’s time we got a Constitutional Amendment for marriage..................
I see a different truth in what he says, “time to move on” to me sadly means I see a rift coming in the country. How that plays out I do not know except that we will be pushed farther and farther to preserve this union as it once stood. I see bloodshed as a distinct possibility.
While I am not a fan of gratuitous vulgarity, I believe it does have its place. So....
Linda tells Americans to grease up, bend over, shut up and take it.
I spit and fart in his direction and implore South Caroling to recall this waste of protoplasm and oxygen.
In my world, the Senator would have said “...It will be time to move on DC.”
By declaring the DOMA unconstitutional didn’t the SC rule that the federal government had no business defining marriage?
