Reports on the terrorist attack on the "Draw Muhammed" art competition in Garland, Texas indicate that the two jihadis, armed with "assault rifles" and wearing "protective gear," were very quickly neutralized (within seconds of initiating their attack) by a Garland traffic cop armed with only a handgun.
The bad guys rolled up at the site, exited their vehicle, and immediately opened fire on a police car at the entrance. They were able only to wound an unarmed security officer before the traffic officer engaged them and terminated the threat (and, in the process, their worthless lives).

http://controversialtimes.com/politics/a-colt-45-8-rounds-8-dead-enemies-this-american-heros-tale-will-leave-you-amazed/ Wounded WW2 Vet Asked to Be Left Against a Tree With His Colt .45. When They Found Him
By Hunter Roosevelt on May 4, 2015 His last known words were, Give me your .45″. A fellow soldier complied and Baker was last seen alive propped against a tree, Colt 1911 (fully loaded with 8 rounds) in hand, calmly facing the enemy. When the Americans repelled the banzai attack and retook the position, Baker was still there. His gun was empty and there were 8 dead Japanese in front of him.

I would be fascinated by a detailed account of this encounter. Did he shoot center of mass or head shot? How many shots? How quickly did the muslims go down? How many shots did the muslims get off? What kind of cover did the traffic cop use?
There will be much to be learned from this.

Yes they do! I have a 4” hog leg that is a tack driver. Never a failure of any kind. Runs like a sewing machine. Yes, I conceal carry a 4” auto.

He may be lucky but you give these two idiots too much credit for smarts, skills and ability. I don’t think these two amateur ISIS wannabes were rocket scientists.

Am having a hard time buying the story at face value. There was a serious, VIP level of security in that area at the time. Those two dummies were in a killbox the moment they drove onto the parking lot. Am more apt to believe they experienced deadly crossfire the instant they got stupid. The narrative of there being a lone pistolero makes a plausible cover story so as to keep the media's noses from finding out and subsequently ratting out security strategy and tactics to the whole world, bad guys included. Plus it's bound to have something of a demoralizing effect too - the great warriors for allah didn't accomplish squat except for getting themselves removed from the gene pool by one guy with a pistol.

Spray and pray and ‘insh’allah’.

Training, range time, and knowing you’ll need a head shot (hostage rescue/CQB). Good to see the officer made the most of his tools.

The same! Fantastic. Ultra reliable. Doesn’t care what i feed it. Don’t have to keep it ultra clean. No mods, no buffing the feed tray, nothing.

Respectfully (to you), I believe NOTHING that anybody at CNN would ever say about ANYTHING and NOTHING that 534 of the 535 congress critters would say about ANYTHING.
Let me know when the Junior Senator from Texas announces what kind of gun the hero cop was using to shoot this human trash dead!
Well, on second thought, I would believe Senator Lee and Senator Sessions too.

Calm and proficient beats nut job spray and pray every time. If your exposed calm and collect wins the day. I'm imagining that's how it went down.
Careful aim, fire, repeat. Even if he hit the armor the stun effect can cause
trauma and allow for time to acquire a more precise aim. And the .45 packs a wallop.
