Ouch! CarlyFiorina.org shows her layoffs at HP
CNN Money ^ | 05/04/2015

If you're going to run for president, buy every website domain with your name.

On Monday morning, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina announced she's running for U.S. president. But if you head to CarlyFiorina.org, you'll find a message that criticizes her for firing tens of thousands of workers at HP (HPCQ).

It shows 30,000 sad faces -- one for every employee that was laid off while Fiorina was chief executive from 1999 to 2005. The accusation that she outsourced so many American jobs is a major thorn in Fiorina's side -- and one reason she lost her bid for U.S. Senate in 2010.

No one hijacked the site. It's not a hack. Fiorina's campaign team just didn't buy it soon enough.

This is a standard, dopey mistake politicians make nowadays. And it'll inevitably mean that curious voters will end up seeing this anti-Fiorina message when they're actually trying to find her real website, CarlyFiorina.com (which redirects to CarlyForPresident.com).

That's the thing about websites. No one remembers actual domain names. Most people just type in a candidate's name on Google and search for it. And they'll head to whatever pops up in the results

Majority of Apple profits flow back into the United States since majority of Apple stocks are owned by Americans. Soviet Union never outsourced ANY jobs. They guaranteed every worker would never get laid off. They went bankrupt. Layoffs are akin to pruning dead wood from a tree. It vitalizes the remaining tree causing fresh growth.

When HP got in trouble, so did every other tech company. May be you did not own any NASDAQ stocks during the tech bubble.

When dead wood is allowed to remain on a tree, it rots and eventually kills the tree.

If you are trying to equate Carly’s run at HP with Iococca’s at Chrysler, you been smoking some insanely good stuff.

Carly was a disaster, she single handedly destroyed one of America’s greatest technical companies.

This woman just needs to go away, I am so tired of every 2-4 years she shows up to play politician and the same old rope a dopes show up trying to defend her.

Carly Fiorina is a charismatic visionary of a leader who is always likely to walk into an organization making massive cuts so they can branch out into new ventures. HP knew this when they hired her on, not realizing that is not what the company needed. She did exactly what leadership expected her to do, but because it isn’t what HP needed, the company declined further. When everything came tumbling down, everyone pointed the finger at her.

While she is the one who made the decisions, I mostly blame HP leadership for thinking she would be the right fit for the company. In that same way, I would expect her to do the same as a president so she won’t get my vote. I would prefer a president that makes cuts to balance the budget and secure the nation’s future rather than using the savings to try bold new ventures (i.e. health care, green technology, etc).

don’t smoke it lol. I knew when I printed it it was a bad comparison.
But let her stay in for a few months or longer to destroy Hillary in the way only a woman can do and get away with it.
no? maybe I’m wrong. Happens like three times a day lol

HP now owns a lot of not very popular and classic operating systems under the sun.

They own OpenVMS and Tandem fault tolerant Non-Stop operating system. Two GREAT operating systems that few developers know today.

And then they spun off a great measurement and test equipment company — Agilent Technologies, that makes instruments and equipment for life sciences, medical diagnostics, and chemistry applications.

The separation of HP with Agilent was overseen by none other than Carly Fiorina.

” Firoina is simply another GOPe creature hoping to suck off votes from decent candidates. She’s a nothing nobody, that is laughable when it comes to being qualified to be president.”

She DID export thousands of American jobs to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I saw it first hand when I lived in MY. HP in California became an empty corporate shell under Fiorina.

To save the company, I had to lay off some workers, sell off our European division and close several plants... Lee Iococca
Alan Mulally did the same thing just a few years ago and saved Ford.
Good book ...

I don't doubt that, but in an era of populist support (among the political, corporate, and even small business class), this was the model they all supported. And CNN supported this.

Now CNN thinks it's something to denigrate someone for?

This is redundant to point out, I acknowledge, but CNN is nothing but a propagandist mouth-piece.

This message from them is pathetic.

You know what I think about out-sourcing. I just think CNN deserves to be outed here.

Whois revealed nothing on who registered the domain, since it is registered with domain privacy.

The domain is hosted at hostmonster @ the IP Of 192.185.41.4

http://www.bing.com/search?q=ip%3a192.185.41.4&qs=n&pq=ip%3a192.185.41.4&sc=0-3&sp=-1&sk=&cvid=f171c36dbfc64921b65407d296cecfb6&first=1&FORM=PERE

This gives all the other websites hosted on this shared hosting server.

If you have a hostmonster account you can host multiple domains under one account. There is a good chance one of these other domains also belong to the person/company that registered this domain and runs this website.

I don’t have the time to dig through these, but though I would post incase somebody else would.

Anyone doubt who created it?

None at all. It was a pissed-off former HP employee.

They use popular culture to achieve the goal.

Look at the power they wield with social media. That collection site closed off the ability for the public to support those who opted not to cater homosexual weddings.

That’s just one example.

Look at the corporations running scared from the Left. Jessie Jackson, his son, and Al Sharpton have been making a living off this for decades.

And she killed off PA-RISC which in turn killed/is killing off HP-UX. And then she added Compaq so HP’s gross went over $49 billion in order to collect her bonus. Compaq took over HP with HP’s money. Thanks Carly.
