Gallup: Less Than 1% of Adult Population Part of a Same-Sex Couple
CNS News ^ | April 29, 2015 | Michael Morris

According to a recent Gallup survey, of the total U.S. adult population (approximately 243 million U.S. adults), less than 1 percent, only .8 percent (approximately 2 million U.S. adults), are part of a same-sex couple.

The same survey finds that approximately .3 percent (.3%) of U.S. adults are married to a same-sex spouse, a mere .5 percent (.5%) identify as being in a same-sex domestic partnership and, of the estimated .8 percent (.8%) of the total U.S. adult population that are a part of a same-sex couple, 780,000 are married. In other words, of the estimated 2 million adults that are a part of a same-sex couple, 39 percent (39%) are married.

Gallup’s survey also has statistics for “All others.” “All others” account for the estimated 241,000,000 U.S. adults (99.2%) that are not either married with a same-sex spouse or unmarried and living with a same-sex domestic partner.

“At 990,000, Gallup’s estimated number of same-sex married or domestic partner couples in the U.S. is significantly higher than past estimates derived from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS), which in 2013 put the number of same-sex couples at roughly 727,000,” says Gallup. “Of this group, more than 250,000 reported that they were married. The Census Bureau, however, has cautioned that the ACS estimates of married same-sex couples may not be completely reliable as they have determined that a large portion of recorded married same-sex couples may actually be married heterosexual couples who miscoded the sex of one of the spouses."

“These data are based on 80,568 interviews conducted on Gallup Daily tracking from Jan. 28-April 19, 2015,” says Gallup.

You are free to believe whatever you want, no matter the evidence.

Thank you If you live close to the beach you better move because the ice caps are melting. Believe it or not, your choice no matter what the facts.

if you think the majority of same-sex “married” couples stay monogamous after getting “married”, I got some swampland in Florida to sell you.

Probably, but I think the majority and only ones that this is really for, are the obese-munchers. They probably do.

Sex surveys are by their very nature biased, because only people who are willing to discuss their very personal intimate behavior are included, in essence assuring an abnormal group.

To make my point I used global warming as an example of facts that are untrue.

It isn’t that Liberals are ignorant. It’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.” Ronald Reagan

Global warming is a dispute of opinions.

A survey about people’s sexual habits is not.

Sex surveys may not be entirely accurate, but they are just as likely to be skewed in the opposite direction.

One thing we know for certain is that extramarital affairs are far more than 50 years ago. There used to be far fewer women in the workplace, so obviously there are far more opportunities, now.

Do you dispute that?

I don’t care how many of them there are ...

I won’t lie.

They’re not married. Two sodomites performing a strange ceremony do not a marriage make.

They’re just sick, twisted perverts.

I won’t attend their ceremonies or celebrations, either.

Because they’re not marriages. They’re perversions. And I don’t approve.

Deal with it.

What kind of government is that?

In this case, it's "kakistocracy" ... government by the worst elements of society.

Whoever conducted this study is a mean hater.

(That’s what I was told when I asserted there was no evidence that homosexuality was genetic.)

Remember that the homos are just a tool of the left’s anti-Christian bigotry.

1% of the population wants to tell the other 99% how to live

Here's the "gay rights" issue in a nutshell: F*** who you want, when, where, and how you want, without regard to pre-existing relationships or conventions, and in the event of consequences, make somebody else, preferably the taxpayers, pay.

It hasn't been a tough sell for the 99%, now, has it?

Do you dispute that?

Nope, but opportunity does not guarantee action. By the way Global Warming is out today since we are now predicting global cooling.

Opportunity absolutely guarantees action, just not in every single instance.

There is no such thing as a dispute of facts.

I thought everyone knew that.

If you don’t believe that women in the workplace has engendered more affairs, you’re dim.

I am not against their being there. Just pointing out obvious truth to the willfully blind.

I thought everyone knew that.

When has facts ever mattered to a liberal? We currently have more facts in dispute than we have facts in agreement. Over fifty years ago I discovered that truth is whatever the government says it is even if facts say otherwise.

Depends on what the meaning of "Facts" is I guess.

Evidence presented as Fact is often determined to not be Fact at all, usually depends on who funded the Fact finding endeavor.

Are the polar Ice caps shrinking or growing? I dare you to prove either using facts found using any search engine.
