CONFIRMED: Court records show Freddie Gray was receiving a structured settlement from Allstate Insurance and attempted to convert it into one lump sum in early March
EXCLUSIVE: The Fourth Estate has learned that Freddy Grays life-ending injuries to his spine may have possibly been the result of spinal and neck surgery that he allegedly received a week before he was arrested, not from rough excessively rough treatment or abuse from police.
The Fourth Estate has contacted sources who allege that Freddy Gray received spinal and neck surgery a week before we was arrested, and was allegedly receiving a large structured settlement from Allstate Insurance. The surgery is allegedly related to a car accident in which Gray was involved.
Sources allege that Gray also attempted to refinance his structured settlement into one lump sum payment through Peachtree Funding.
If this is true, then it is possible that Grays spinal injury resulting from his encounter with the Baltimore Police was not the result of rough-handling or abuse, but rather a freak accident that occurred when Gray should have been at home resting, not selling drugs.

No argument from me. I must have posted to the wrong person. There is a troll on this site. She claims to be conservative, but her history says she is a troll.
Which brings us back to comments made by the Mayor of Baltimore.
Still seems hard to believe a source would go public with something like this without due diligence. Then again, maybe not.
Good work.
Not sure if I should be using “allegedly” for the failure to restrain. Something had to cause a spinal injury to either occur or worsen.
If this were a Ferguson situation or the Zimmerman case or even the Staten Island situation, I’d be on the side of the cops. However, the evidence shows here that Gray asked for assistance and was denied. He also wasn’t restrained properly. That was wholly unnecessary.
222 was meant for you.

Freepers are good sleuths. May the truth prevail and the BS flushed.
It is making the rounds of various websites, Yaelle. Conservative Treehouse has picked it up, and is unsure of it’s veracity. If I know that bunch, they will work hard to get to the truth.
“Why did I only read this here, at FR??”
Well, in this case, you’re not seeing this story elsewhere because it’s a nonsense story.
I agree...but we would be wrong not to be aware that police often use tactics that can cause injury . We have had suspicious deaths in our area of men in jails. Let’s see if the method of arrest or failure to get medical attention played a role...justice is blind.
Good research. However Gray was not riding a bicycle, the police where.
thanks. before I got to run a search, someone had posted a screen shot of the docket. I don’t know that it confirms the claim of this headline, but in time everything will shake out. After Balto’s burned, of course. The guy’s life was a disaster from the start to finish. Unfortunately, he’s only one of so many. They suffer from lack of parental guidance.
I’d love to know who in the mid 60s thought that having a man in the house disqualified a family from benefits, while single mothers had benefit after benefit heaped upon her. That was real genius. /sarc

Pretty soon people in Baltimore will demand a statue of this Mr. Gray.
The story could be bunk. Not enough confirmed info.
> Id love to know who...

Follow the money. Did the cops have large deposits made to their accounts by Allstate?
Why yes it is. I knew all the guys in the car, as I had been out joy riding in the same car many other nights. Happy I was doing something else that evening.
The fact is you can be quite mobile with a broken neck or back, but it is strongly not recommended.
His death was the cause of the riot.
adding in nonsense to the facts ? No, just trying to get to the facts, to which jj has kindly linked us to.
Regrettably, facts which certainly will not alter e-s’s skewed views or failing attempts at convincing propaganda.
(((
No, it was the excuse for the riot.
Is this BS or what?
