WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) If the presidential election were held today, it wouldnt even be close. Hillary Clinton is crushing her potential Republican rivals by double digits in a new CNN/ORC International poll. The Republicans best showing is by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who trails the former senator and secretary of state by 14 points. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who hasnt declared his candidacy yet, lags Clinton by 17 points. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are each 19 points behind Clinton. Rubio and Paul have declared their candidacies, but Christie hasnt said hell run. Clinton is also the overwhelming favorite for the Democratic nomination, with nearly seven in 10 Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents supporting her. Even including the polls margin of error, Clinton would still have a double-digit lead on Rubio and the others. The poll was taken April 16-19 and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points. It was released Monday.

It’s a name recognition poll.
The Ministry Of Propaganda uses polls at this point to manipulate opinion, not reflect it. They are working for The Cheap Labor Express to ensure we do not elect anyone who would stop the invasion/cheap labor importation that they like to confuse with immigration..
Never underestimate the power of identity politics and changing American demographics. Who would have thought Obama had a chance to win the Democrat nomination let alone the presidency back in 2007. We dismiss Clinton at our own peril.
Good post.
I said no POTUS could be re-elected with $4 gas, 13% real unemployment, trillion dollar deficits, surging food prices, and Benghazi.
I was totally wrong. Baraq +4, 332 evs
When side-lined by gay marriage and women's rights, he must be able to get the conversation back to the Constitution.
And he must prove how he will defend the Constitution with his life.
Who watches CNN?
We have immigrated a new nation, and it's a liberal one.
Another poll with no mention of Cruz

It’s a poll of “adults.” It means nothing.
I wouldn't worry too much. Everyone in America knows who Hillary Clinton is. Not the same for most of our candidates. Most voters don't spend time on political forums and wouldn't know Walker, Cruz, Rubio or Paul if they stood behind them in line at the grocery store.
The gap will shrink as the field narrows and Republican front-runners grow in familiarity. Eventually, voters will close ranks and we'll start seeing 48%-50% polling, with the party in the lead flip-flopping.
But I understand why people want to be debunk this poll. Another 8 years of hard-left Democrat rule means continuous illegal immigration and a permanent Democrat voting majority, which pretty much means the end of America and the end of Western civilization. No sane person wants to contemplate that.
We have immigrated a new nation, and it’s a liberal one.
My fears also...all by design of the whack left
It means nothing. She is the Democrat nominee, and is well known by everyone. The GOP is only beginning the process of narrowing down the field of candidates. Of course Hillary would win such a poll. It is meaningless and is probably sponsored by liberals.
Thank you...I needed that!
I can’t imagine America surviving Hitlary especially after Gilligan Obam...

We really are at the tail end of the Republic's run.
For now, Hillary has the full benefit of the dominant Democratic party ID, constant media and elite disparagement of Republicans, and the lack of a single GOP standard bearer. Hillary’s poll standing though seems likely to fall after the publication of “Clinton Cash” and the continuing lack of enthusiasm for her. If polling shows Hillary weakening, she may get forced out of the race by major donors and party leaders.
