Was TWA Flight 800 shot out of the sky?

As a former pilot, that is a question I get asked about all the time.

I’m no conspiracy theorist, but let’s be clear: Yes. I say it was. And I believe the FBI covered it up.

There are many reasons to disbelieve the official explanation of what happened to TWA 800 almost 19 years ago, on July 17, 1996, off the South Shore of Long Island. There’s hardly an airline pilot among the hundreds I know who buys the official explanation — that it was a fuel-tank explosion — offered by the National Transportation Safety Board some four years later.

Lots can go wrong with an airplane. Engines can fail; they can catch fire. Devices can malfunction. Pilots make errors.

But jets do not explode in midair.

If they do, it’s usually because they’ve been shot down or bombed. There’s little to suggest that there was a bomb onboard, but there is ample evidence that a missile of some sort detonated in the air very close to the plane and brought it down.

A former colleague, who will remain unnamed because he was not authorized to speak publicly about this, served as one of the lead investigators representing the interests of the TWA pilots, and I talked to him at length about the investigation after it was completed.

I have also spoken with another former TWA employee, who has knowledge of what went on in the aftermath of the crash.

After that incident, media interviewed a pilot that was in the area and saw it explode. He said that he saw something fly into the plane.
He was a veteran fighter pilot so his awareness to what was happening for me is key to this being a cover up.

Multiple people reported seeing a missile streak up to the jet but ALL of their testimonies were ignored in favor of the lie about the fuel tank explosion.

I followed it pretty closely at the time. I remember even the preliminary news reports and interviews. There is no doubt in my mind that it was shot down. The only question is, who did it.

I’m a conspiracy theorist on 2.5 events. The .5 is the JFK assasination. The other 2 are Flight 800 and Sandy Hook.

I don’t particularly take eye witness comments into account, but many people saw something fly up and impact TWA800. They say it from different vantage points, and they all agreed it went right to TWA800.

Sorry, they can’t all be fringe nuts.

George Stephanopolous once spoke during an interview, some time after 9/11, about the White House security people using the underground War Room "during the TWA 800 shoot-down."

I have heard pilots refer to the "fuel tank explosion" as a sardonic joke.

I remember the CNN bimbo, when the second plane hit, at first went into “what an amazing coincidence” mode for a couple of minutes before reality completed its painfully slow bore into her brain and she realized that maybe, just maybe someone did it on purpose.

I happened to catch Peter Jennings break in with coverage after it just happened and little was known. Two eyewitnesses were interviewed briefly and they both stated they saw a “flare” go up toward the plane. I immediately realized they were describing a missile. Then something happened that I will never forget: Peter Jennings’ quizzical expression and his IMMEDIATE decision to NOT connect the dots, even with speculation. He had been trained well.

I think (correct me if I’m wrong) that TWA 800 came along just before Jim Robinson decided to start up an interesting little website called FreeRepublic.com

If so, it seems likely that TWA would have seen a lot of FR print. I’m hoping someone remembers. What I remember is that the Clinton Whitewater Usenet group or something related was all over this story like a wet towel. But the story might have been what first brought me to FR. Maybe, maybe not.

In any case this story is correct. TWA800 was shot down. It was obvious right from the start. Clinton used the FBI to lie to the American people and cover up what really happened. Mostly likely a Navy Submarine (by mistake of course), possibly a terrorist attack.
