Where did you get the information that this is an ad, and not a link to the actual store site?

It does not have a link to open in iTunes. It does not have the specifications for the apps. It does not have a link to the developer's Web site. It does not have screen shots. It does not have prices. It is not on the iTunes server. In short, every single characteristic of the App Store is absent from that page. It's like asking how you know that you are reading this post n Free Republic and not on CNN.

The link you posted is a page on a Web site. The App Store is not a Web site. That should have been your first clue.

There are preview pages for App Store apps. They look like this. The page you posted did not look like this, and did not link to any pages that look like this. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/evernote/id281796108?mt=8

I hope for your sake that you are being deliberately dense, because if it isn’t deliberate, that’s sad.

So it’s speculation.

So let’s see:

NY Times
WSJ
Yahoo
NY Times
Bloomberg
USA Today

These are the sources for your positives? Some of the most liberal outlets (with the possible... and I stress possible... exception of the WSJ) in the media, with a proven track record of getting things (purposely) wrong?

Would you use any of those sources to argue a political point? Oh, wait, you don’t argue political points. I have to go pages and pages into your posting history in order to get to anything that isn’t Apple related or general interest (i.e. not political).

So my guess here is that you are a paid (or unpaid) Apple social marketer. I’ve seen this on several other forums, too. General non-controversial posts that fit with the general theme of the website, followed by tons of Apple-specific marketing and defense. It’s a standard nowadays (approaching the Rush “seminar callers” level).

So let’s broaden this conversation a bit, shall we? Just to see what it is that attracts you to FR...

Should gay marriage be recognized by the federal government? Should it be forced on the states by judicial order? Is gay marriage morally wrong? Is gay sex morally wrong?

Who is your preferred candidate for 2016? Why? What attracts you to them and their platform?

Is abortion murder? Should it be legal?

Should tax dollars be used to subsidize corporations and their products? How much influence should companies have on the making of laws and regulations?

What federal agency would you most like to see abolished?

Based on your interpretation of the 2nd Amendment, what should guns laws and regulations be like at both the federal and state level?

Let’s make sure we’re talking to an actual fellow conservative here with a (obsessive) hobby, and not some marketing bot whose nighttime job is defending Apple on a myriad of websites...

So it’s speculation.

Yes. When you accused Tim Cook of lying, that was based on sheer speculation. Good that you finally realize that.

Then Tim Cook appears to be a liar, because I went to the watch app store and counted the apps. There were less than 50 apps "already waiting".

What did you think the significance of "appears to be" was in that sentence?

Oh. MY. GOSH! ROTFLMAO! That's what has your panties in a wad causing you all these tizzy fits and name calling and accusing people of being liars?!?!? You are an idiot!

That is NOT any kind of Apple App Store!

That is a mere sampling of the App’s that will be IN the iTunes Apple Watch App Store WHEN Apple makes it go live! You are not on Apple's sales site at all! Did you not notice there are no price tags or download buttons? SHEESH!

This is just more proof of your total and complete abysmal chasm of ignorance of what your are blithering about! I haven't had a good laugh like this in months!

THIS is what an Apple App Store looks like:

So it’s speculation.

You ARE DENSE. it is not speculation when the CEO of the largest company in the world tells you that when the new Apple Watch App Store opens for business, there will be more than 1000 apps available in it.

That is specific information from an AUTHORITATIVE source. It has been quoted in newspapers of record and may therefore be cited in scholarly papers as true and authoritative.

You have been repeatedly told this and the authoritative source. Now Give the Alinskyite tactics a rest, since you've proved yourself by continuing this idiocy, to be officially stupid to everyone on FreeRepublic. . . and you've put your asshat on so tightly, you need a fenestration procedure to surgically insert a viewing port in your abdomen so you can enjoy your view!

LOL I'm sure someone as terminally deranged as tacticalogic will now attack my example page, because it has no watch apps on it. . .

My mistake then, but when I read the article is says:

In a note to employees Cook said, "congratulations to everyone who has worked so hard for years to help this product reach our customers". He also revealed that over 1,000 third-party apps have been submitted to the App Store so far.

Then goes on to say:

Cook didn't reveal the names of any of the submissions in the note and it's also worthwhile to bear in mind Apple isn't guaranteed to let all the submissions through to the shop front.

I surmised that the article title was simply an exercise in journalistic malpractice by the reporter. There's no attribution of that claim to Tim Cook in the article. That comes from you telling me you heard him say it.

If that's not the app store, then at this point nobody outside of Apple knows how many have been approved. We'll know how many there are when the actual app store opens (and it may yet turn out to be less than 1000), but conveniently, no one can verify how many were "already waiting for you" when that article was published.

Another question we can as is, given that homosexuality is a mental disorder, should Tim Cook see a psychiatrist?

After the years of you posting that Apple was going out of business soon, here on Free Republic, when did you get around to buying some Apple products?! ... LOL ...

I have bought many Apple products. They have all been binned before their time due to shoddy software and shoddy hardware. I was able to buy an Apple watch . Not the gold one for dumb Chinese satus seekers

But I got a preview copy from a friend. What useless piece of crap. It put off sparks when I microwaved it

My take is that anyone who buys an Apple product should get a free gay marriage voucher in that box

Which will reimburse them for a faggot marriage (such that it is) in the state of their choice. This will include a free gay wedding cake w two plastic dooods (grooms) on top

Well, I’m impressed if you got an Apple Watch. Heck ... I’m not getting one of those until about the second or third generation ... :-) ...

I’m glad for all the early adopters, but I’m not one in this particular case. I was with the iPhone, and I was glad to be. On this one I’m going to wait until Apple even stuffs this little device with more power and functionality ... and about the third generation, I’ll be getting it.

I know Apple keeps improving their iOS devices with each iteration, and I know that the third generation will be the “hot one to get” ... :-) ...

So, I think you’ve got the right idea there. At around year two, you’ll be hitting the third generation.

If you were a developer, on the other hand, you would want to get it right now!

“Frankly, you act exactly like the radical socialist college students who shout down every conservatives who try to speak on college campuses. . . You cannot allow another platform than your chosen one. You are a SICK bigot.”

Yep, you’ve got that one nailed ... :-) ...

You should have kept it as an investment. Have you seen what an unopened can of New Coke is going for on E-Bay?

You are so full of it you eyes are floating in yellowish brown fluid. . . are you just a common ordinary liar or is it ingrained in your DNA?

You've proudly asserted on Freerepublic many times that you have NEVER bought or owned any Apple products. Now you claim a fictitious "friend" has given you a preview "copy" of an Apple Watch to use with your non-existent Apple iPhone, which you lyingly claimed you stomped into shards months ago. Baron Von Munchausen has nothing on you. . . you are a world class PREVARICATOR!. A liar.

You lied to us when you claimed you were heavily invested in non-existent Apple shorts on their debt, which at the time did not exist. . . and you have lied on almost every post you make. You, sir, are the little weenie who cried wolf. You destroy your reputation with these posts. They are not "funny" or "quirky" except in the popular psychiatric meaning of the term.
