Iran and and six world powers have agreed on the outlines of an understanding that would open the path to a final phase of nuclear negotiations but are in a dispute over how much to make public, officials told The Associated Press Thursday.

The officials spoke outside week-long talks that have busted through a March 31 deadline in an effort to formulate a general statement of what has been accomplished and documents setting down what the sides need to do by the end of June deadline for a deal.

Swiss officials facilitating the negotiations set a news conference for later in the day that was expected to announce the results of the talks

Don’t worry. This should be at least as good as the Bergdahl deal.

Really these talks began in 2002.

It’s just the interim deal with sanctions relief that started November 2013.

Iran and and six world powers have agreed on the outlines of an understanding that would open the path to a final phase of nuclear negotiations...

So in other words, the 6 powers and Iran have pretty well decided to get confirmations on setting a tentative date, agreeable to all, to begin negotiations for arranging a preliminary planning session which may or may not lead to discussions on possible negotiations on whether or not Iran's nuclear program is in play?

LAUSANNE, Switzerland - A joint statement to be issued at talks on Iran’s nuclear program will say enough progress has been reached to continue the negotiations until a final deadline of June 30, according to a text seen by Reuters.

The statement is to be issued by Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

Perhaps the two most important descriptors of this tyrant.

To paraphrase Nancy Pelosi:

“You’ll just have to sign it to find out what’s in it.”

I already got my hands on the agreement it is as follows:
Iran: We want Israel wiped off the map
Obama & Goons: OK how about you just wipe off HALF of Israel off the map is that OK with you?
Iran: Fine, half, but we want assurance that in a few years we can wipe off the other half
Obama & Goons: OK we have a deal, for now wipe off the part that contains the largest amount of Conservative voters, ya know, the ones that voted for BiBi, leave the Liberal Jews behind for now

That first sentence describing this event comes directly from Wonderland. “Outline of an understanding that will lead to negotiations” How long did it take to reach this “outline”? The Mad Hatter couldn’t have written a more meaningless jumble of words.

I had the same reaction... parsing the words:

In order to get an agreement, we have to have negotiations.

In order to get to negotiations, we have to have an understanding.

In order to get to an understanding, we have to have an outline.

So... we have an outline. No understanding. No negotiations. No agreement.

Iran is negotiating like the PLO/PA used to negotiate through Arafat — they are yanking the West’s chain.

Every time the West thinks they have a deal, Iran will back off.

Iran may go for something in the waning hours of the Obama presidency, depending on who will be replacing Obama in 2017. If it is a hardcore Pubbie, the Iranians may consider they can get the best deal with Obama. If a Dem wins, they will yank Obama around like Arafat yanked BJ Clinton around.

The one thing, one thing, you can be sure of is that Obama and Kerry will mess everything up.

Netanyahu tweeted this half hour ago:

Any deal must significantly roll back Iran’s nuclear capabilities and stop its terrorism and aggression.

Well, I looked at my post several times, and I didn’t say they were.

Thanks for playing, though.
