A "food source" sickened nearly 100 restaurant patrons in Philadelphia last month, but city and state health officials say Pennsylvania law bars them from disclosing what the food was or how it was contaminated.
Philly.com reported Friday ( http://bit.ly/1HQbZYs ) that dozens of lawyers and law students became sick after a Feb. 27 feast at Joy Tsin Lau in the city's Chinatown. Some said they were bedridden and others had to seek medical attention after becoming sick, but the owner said her restaurant didn't cause it.

In Tennessee, they’d not only shut it down, they’d have it plastered all over the news.

The worst thing I can think of is to poison a bunch of lawyers and law students with food poisoning. That restaurant is toast.
I don't know about that, if I knew a restaurant was targeting lawyers and lawyer wannabees, I'd make that my primary restaurant of choice........LOL!

It was known to government early on it was from packaged prepared salads. That got me once. I spent three days in hell as a result. Got to know my toilet better than I ever thought I would.

I used to eat at that very restaurant when I went to college in Philadelphia. No lie, a roach once walked across our table. Good food , though :P

Joy Tsin LauIt's on Race between 10th and 11th. Back in the 70s when we went to Arch St UMC (moved to FL in '79 to take a teaching job, still here), we would sometimes walk up a block on Broad to Race and then over to Chinatown, which back then was lots of dingy Oriental stores, but the only place at the time that one could get Japanese food for cooking, until the Korean store on 64th and Market opened up. It's all changed in the last two generations, I'm sure.

They cover up food poisoning. They cover up Black Panther marches to kill whitey and pigs. They cover up illegals. They cover up WH lies. Makes one wonder what else they’re covering up.

Illegal aliens and their filthy unhygienic third-world practices. . wash your hands before handling food? Nah. Wear gloves before handling food? Nah. Get vaccinations before working in the food service industry? Nah. Requiring all that would be raaaaccciiiisssst.
