Full Speech: Ted Cruz announces 2016 presidential run at Liberty University:

Yep. I’m taking some antacid tabs in advance to ward off the Hannity speak affect on my stomach. I’ll endure an hour of Hannity to listen to Ted.
Paul should not even be running as a republican let alone a conservative. He should be honest with the college kids, homosexuals, and druggies to tell them he is a liberal-tarian
Actually, polls are almost meaningless at this stage.....but Cruz will make a dramatic charge in them I am certain. Walker did, right after he got the Rush/Drudge love. Now Cruz is getting it.
You can mark it down, and call me on it later if I’m wrong, but Cruz message will win out - over time. I’ve thought so for months, and now more than ever.
Call me out if I’m wrong.....I’m going out on the limb.
YES, thanks so much!
I set TIVO yesterday!
“In less than ten years electric cars (and fuel cell cars in Japan) -are going to start taking a bite out of demand for oil...”
https://www.fuelseurope.eu/policy-priorities/products
Contains a graphic about products produced at oil refineries. Although its an EU graphic, it is representative of oil refineries elsewhere. Electric cars are not making oil refining disappear anytime soon. Gasoline is a fraction of what is produced from a barrel of oil, depending on how a refinery wishes to refine it. Electric cars are heavily subsidized, and if they weren’t then gasoline vehicles still win in a price war and will be a majority of vehicles for a while. Text from that link:
“Electricity produces no tailpipe emissions, but todays batteries cannot match the energy density of liquid fuels: liquid fuel contains around 100 times as much energy as an electric battery the same weight. The emissions generated when electricity is generated also need to be included in the balance to consider the well to wheels emissions of all fuels...”
I think Ted had to declare early because the news outlets...even Fox...especially Fox... were leaving him out of early polling and discussions. Now they can no longer ignore his presence in the race as he is the only one IN the race so far.
Thanks, Jimrob.
I fear this is our last chance.
God protect Our Nation.
Thanks, I couldn’t find it.
I never said polls as they stand now....right now it is mainly name recognistion polls.
I am talking about polls after the first debate coming in 5 months, polls after Iowa caucuses, NH primary & SC primary.
By the time SC primary is over, polls will mean something. I can and will say this, that Cruz has excellent chance to rise in polls eventually.
Oh, they mean something about two weeks before Iowa - but SC is the key for a conservative. No conservative can win without SC IMO.
New Hampshire, for all the hoopla, is almost always a non factor in the long run.
Iowa is not as key as people think either, based on history.
Thank you so much.
Saving!
Yes, indeed!
He’s the very best.
I’m saving this!
This is the first time that I have actually sent cash. I've given time and shoeleather, but the first time I've actually sent cash to a politician. I don't do that lightly.

I watched the speech today live, I’ve been all in for Cruz for a long time, I’ve got to say after seeing him today I can’t remember when I felt this good about the future of our Republic.
He has a rare quality others will find hard to duplicate; he can tap into peoples emotions/feelings while simply stating the facts.
BUMP!!
Tesla alone plans to be producing 500,000 electric cars by 2020. and then go up from there.

The most important thing about Tesla however, is not so much Tesla as what they are doing to the entire automobile industry.
The chinese for example plan to have their own gigafactory open by 2020.http://www.ibtimes.com/chinese-gigafactory-byd-says-it-could-have-battery-production-capacity-roughly-equal-1847002
Forbes in 2013 estimated that Worldwide Electric Vehicle Sales to Reach 3.8 Million Annually by 2020

He spoke for almost exactly thirty minutes.
Would have been MUCH BETTER if he had delivered the same speech in about 15 minutes, maybe, just maybe, 20 minutes.
TOO PONDEROUS.
Also, Cruz should remember that the audience who will be listening on radio, TV, YouTube, etc., vastly outnumber the live audience. Ronald Reagan always spoke as though speaking to an individual sitting about five feet away, not as though speaking to 50,000 people in a vast arena—even when he was speaking to 50,000 people in a vast arena.
