Nationally syndicated conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, founder of the website Twitchy, tells Breitbart News that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walkera potential 2016 GOP presidential candidateneeds to be vetted. She also says Walkers problems run much deeper than the decision to hirethen quickly let go ofpro-amnesty communications aide Liz Mair, who had taken shots at Iowa.
Scott Walker has much bigger problems than the ill-considered hiring and firing of one D.C. operative, Malkin said in an email.
"What does he really stand for and is he fully equipped to bear the slings and arrows of his enemies on a national and global scale? Yes, he fought Big Labor and has managed his state well. But grass-roots activists in his state have long been warning me of his ideological gymnastics on core issues: immigration and education.
He has been on the same side as the progressive Left and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Right: pro-amnesty, pro-massive legal immigration expansionist, and pro-Common Core. Hes been left, right, center, and all over the map."
She added that Washington-based GOP establishment forces are good at backing up establishment politicians, as they seemed to have tried to do to defend Walker and Mair.
The D.C. consultant class and Capitol Hill GOP operators are adept at swooping in to rescue the campaigns of neophytes and molding them into Beltway barnacle tools, Malkin said. They did it with Spencer Abraham and Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan. Face it: Many of the D.C. messaging experts and communicators DO have their own policy agenda and it is naive or stupid to believe they have no sway or influence on ambitious, outside the Beltway seekers of higher public office with no fixed principles.
Malkin also stood up for the few reporters willing to pressure Walker to answer legitimate questions about Mair,

Hmmmm. I guess “vetting” is only for non liberals as opposed to liars who don’t feel the need to prove anything about themselves or their backgrounds. And if you call them on it you’re just being racis’.
After Mitt Romney, and Chris Christie, I’ve always thought never trust a Republican politician from a Blue State.
RE: never trust a Republican politician from a Blue State.
So, what is Florida ( as in Jeb and Rubio ), blue or still red?
So vet away.
Here’s a news flash: Ronald Reagan was a democrat until 1962.
Vette the Muslim-In-Chief first ....
3rd Post of this article so far.
Yews, he fought big labor BUT, BUT, BUT...
I'm not saying Scott Walker is perfect, in fact, he's not even my guy, Ted Cruz is the only one I've sent money to, but this is crazy.
Every time someone begins to emerge, people have been coming from the woodwork to tear them down.
Michelle Malkin must be being paid by some one to rip on Walker, because all these "experts" are on some ones pad.
There is no one without an agenda, and those are bought and paid for.
With all of the Northeast liberals moving there, I’ll say Blue. Don’t feel too bad, my state Pennsylvania is Blue too, thanks to people from Philly, and NYC.
“So, what is Florida ( as in Jeb and Rubio ), blue or still red?”
It’s red, white and green. As in the flag of Mexico.
The woman is dead on target, so what’s your response?
She’s being paid to say this, or she is simply writing a hit piece to take Walker down because she supports someone else.
Evidently you have to be paid to tell the truth.
Either that or you have to like someone else a lot to tell it.
Very strange.
And in the Gran Old Party tradition some continue to eat their own.
I have no issue with vetting Walker...it is the right thing to do and it should be done.
But to your point, Obastard was never vetted and has sequestered everything related to his past. Everything we allegedly know about Obastard, is unverified either as true or not.
Malkin and Boyle launch into Walker. A head scratcher to me. Cruz is my guy but I just don’t get this Walker attack from the right. One, it’s too early. Two, let’s attack the Left not one of the top three conservative contenders.
Malkin is making assertions without facts. I wanna hear her footnotes on each of her complaints.
She’s a strong writer and I have always liked her style, but calling anyone “naive and stupid” because they don’t fall into the back of her conspiratorial tomato truck begs the question. Where is all of her supporting evidence? Paul Ryan? Heck, he was GOP BEFORE he ran for anything and simply STAYED that way. He didn’t have to be “molded”.
For instance where is the evidence of GOP running Walker to the Establishment for “molding”? If it’s so pervasive, surely there is evidence of that.
Let him run the race for crying out loud. He beats Jeb Bush and he is a hell of a lot more trouble for Hillary Clinton than has been realized yet, IMHO.
On FR this week anyway if you are not crowning Walker you are a RINO/DEM/COMMIE/LOSER. Two months ago if you were not crowning Cruz you were on the outs. So wait a couple of months and they will move on to a new champ.
Freepers dissing on Michelle Malkin. That’s a new one. :-)
Yeah, how dare she admit Walker can’t walk on water.
Who’s paying her? That’s all I want to know!
Malkin needs ratings like everyone else. Around primary time is her biggest income boost.
Keep the guns on vetting Hillary and Obama. After all, the Marxists will perform the endoscopy on our candidates, and the contenders will be vetting each other when the time is right.
This may be Malkin’s way of “molding” the other contenders on how to vet Walker.
When it comes to the illegal alien invasion, there’s no one I trust more than Michelle Malkin. She has been steadfast in her defense of American sovereignty and the citizens.
There are red flags aplenty about Walker, but the bandwagoners don’t want any rain on their parade. Seems they’d rather elect him and then find out he wants to give away the country.
We need to know exactly what Walker intends to do with the 30 million (not 11 million as we’ve been lied to) illegal aliens that are already here and what he would do to stop the invasion (it’s not immigration when they break in)
