Glenn Beck says he is no longer a member of the Republican Party.
Ive made my decision Im out," Beck said on his radio show Wednesday, according to Mediaite.com. "Im out of the Republican Party. I am not a Republican; I will not give a dime to the Republican Party. Im out.
The former Fox News host and founder of the Blaze supported the GOP during the last election cycle but has become disillusioned with the party in recent years over what he believes was its failure to stand up to the Obama administration specifically, the Affordable Care Act and immigration reform.
Four years ago I was with them," Beck said. "Four years ago I said, Work from the inside, lets change it, lets get new guys in there."
But those efforts have proved futile, he said.

Oops, sorry, didn’t realize who was responding to whom. :-)
“I think his major disaster decision was to drop his syndicated radio gigs and go the way of Oprah. Didnt work for her. Didnt work for him.”
Poor Oprah and Beck. Didn’t work out for them... they are only billionaire media moguls.
Well Lone Ranger, join the crowd. I have been out for several years now. I refuse to give them one thin, worthless, penny. I will not even give my local congresscritter a dime either. I am one of those dreaded Independents now.
Talking about their influence declining, not what they made before their bad decisions. I think they thought many’ many more people would follow them to pay to watch/listen to them, than actually have.
Beck, always late to the party......
Change it from within. Change it to support same sex marriage, eh Glenn?
I gave them back my card when they won HUGE majorities in 2010 and weepy John continued to whine that he is powerless to do anything. 2014 makes me sick to my stomach to see the establishment republicans basically holding their ankles for Obama.
“Yes, Republicans in the Senate and to a lesser extent, the House have been disappointing.”
I nominate your post as the Understatement of the Week.
Two hundred years of family tradition of being a Republican and I intend to break it and go Independent. Good going, RINOs.
Post 16 says all that needs to be said!!!
They still do Moron Trivia, most Fridays.
Whatever. I permanently tuned Beck out when he allied himself with the homo-fascists on fag marriage. And I’ve all but tuned out the GOP as well, for their unwillingness to fight the same, and ditto amnesty.
Both Beck and the GOP can go to hell as far as I’m concerned.
I left and I am glad I did. I left after the 2008 elections.
He just NOW left the GOPe?
He was supporting them when in MS they got the dems to help them destroy a good conservative tea party type candidate?
He is rich, he probably gave them up in the high six figures hoping they would see him as one of their buddies.
Watching this guy from 2009 when he jumped in front of the Tea Party Movement and created his own event in DC to try to draw the TP types in to his camp...showed me his $elf centered agenda.
Goldwater started the push to out the NE country club set.
Reagan became the result.
We had the party; but then he let the camel’s nose back under the tent with HWB. Nancy didn’t help either.
Point is we can do it again. And hopefully will learn from our mistakes.
Looks like Cardinal Sheehan, a great anti-communist Christian leader in the 1950’s/60’s. They don’t make them like that any more.
You’ve got to be old like us to remember him and his tv appearances.
I used to listen on Fridays during the football season, when Beck would call convenience store clerks in each of the hometowns of various competing teams in a skit he termed “moron trivia” in which he would ask fairly simple questions and based on the answers or stupid responses predict which team might win on Sunday. It was sometimes amusing, but Beck & his team would often be very annoying at times during the phone call. Other than that, his show is just a lot of noise.
