ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE, Md. – Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, arrived in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday for a three-day visit, during which they plan to visit cultural and educational sites before heading to Kentucky.
The royal couple landed at Andrews Air Force Base, where they shook hands with U.S. and British officials as they squinted in the setting sun and strong winds. Prince Charles wore a blue suit and Camilla had on a coat and dress that appeared to be ivory or dove gray.
The couple did not speak to assembled members of the news media and went directly to a reception at the home of British Ambassador Sir Peter Westmacott and his wife, Lady Susie Westmacott. There they headed to the embassy’s ornate living area, and were too busy shaking hands and chatting with Embassy staffers to take part in the hors d’oeuvres that were served.

The royals are not good looking physically, but that's not their fault. If you look at old photos or artist renderings of past kings and queens, they were not good looking people. And because of the tendency to marry within a specific circle (at one time they used to marry family members), there was little opportunity to add any beauty genes to the mix. Mercifully, it looks like that practice has changed. Diana was pretty. Her sons are reasonably good looking, and the older one’s wife is nice looking. Hopefully, we won't hear too many complaints about looks soon.
Her smile looks tense, but her clothes and accessories are really nice.

Prince Chuck and his steed should make a stop in Boston to see all piles of global warming he has been warning us about. To think of this twit as King of England is a sobering thought.
Charles’ grandmother the Queen Mum lived to 101. His mother Queen Elizabeth intends to break that record & she has no plans to abdicate.

The Sunday Times, which over the weekend started serializing Andrew Morton’s book “Diana—Her True Story” containing the allegations, said they raised questions about the future of the 1,000-year-old British monarchy.”

“Princess Diana admitted in a 1995 BBC interview that she cut her legs and arms because she was unhappy about her marriage, for example.
Experts say cutters inflict pain on themselves to deal with worthlessness and self-hatred.
Most of these self-injurers are female, 50 percent were sexually abused and many also have eating disorders.
“It’s a physical expression of anger,” says author and clinical psychologist Wendy Lader, co-founder of the Self-Abuse Finally Ends (S.A.F.E) program. “You might see guys who are angry hit a wall, or kick something and they feel better. For these girls, they hurt themselves.”
Journalist Marilee Strong interviewed more than 50 “cutters” for her book, A Bright Red Scream. The group included foster children, prisoners, doctors, lawyers, nurses and Sunday-school teachers.
“Self-injurers,” ,” she says, “are often bright, talented, creative achievers-perfectionists who push themselves beyond all human bounds, people-pleasers who cover their pain with a happy face.”
Often the cutting episode begins on impulse: A cutter grabs a sharp object to cut themselves, or they nick themselves shaving their legs and just keep cutting.
Many cutters describe relief and solace in watching themselves bleed, as though their pain and fear is seeping away.
“Basically there’s a belief that when one cuts,” says Lader, “there may be naturally occurring opiates that produce an analgesic effect.”

Doctors often misdiagnose cutting as attempts to commit suicide. Self-injurers, however, view the behavior as a way to survive, to show themselves they are still alive and capable of feeling pain.”

Why the snide comment about Camilla? She was never the problem. It was QE and Charles who were fueding about her and whether or not he could choose her. Then the Queen and her brigade put their foot down and they found a victim bride, Lady Diana Spencer.
Poor Diana. She was led into this marriage under false pretenses and she was not yet 20 years of age. Lucky for the royals Diana at least produced two apparently good sons for the monarchy.
But do not blame Camilla.
