Empire star Terrence Howard has strong opinions about the use of the N-word on their hit Fox TV show.
Though the actor differs from costar Taraji P. Henson, who said earlier today shes against the use of the word, Howard thinks its time to get real. The Oscar nominee wants to drop the stigma surrounding the word which he believes would make the Lee Daniels hip-hop drama feel more authentic.

As long as the white characters can use the word, I’m fine with it.
Well. I guess I can see a day when we just stare into a freshly used toilet. It’s real you know.
ahaha now theres the BEST ANALOGY i can imagine!
! Thanks!!
Naggers?
whay dont they simply upgrade the dialog entirely?
oh that wouldnt be authenticaly reflective of the characters characters... I suspect.
Yes.
Numbnuts?
this is quite the dilemma for some people.
“Yo my main Young African American Fellow”
I think a cultural upgrade MIGHT be in order
Knucklehead....used to be a fine word!
A child who’s allowed to cross the street will sometimes turn around and mercilessly taunt another child who can’t cross the street yet.
That’s all this is: childish taunting. “Nya-nya, I can say ‘n******’ and you can’t.” Lording it over the white boys.
He also believes beatin’ a bitch’s azz is mo’ authentic, and dat the stigma should be removed from that, too. (former smack-er around-er of women)
Most politically incorrect show on TV since Archie Bunker. I think the only group they haven’t attacked are the Jews.
His show wife Cookie makes the show.
I agree. I NEVER thought I would like such a show. I decided after 3rd episode and it became the number 1 show of the year with close to 20 million viewers, I thought what the heck. So I watched it on demand and it is pretty good. Cookie is a trip and a half.
wow maybe if people just stopped watching that dreck it would disappear??
I could say IT,,but I wont waste my time.....or my breath doing so,
Whoa, never though guys on FR was say that, ever, it must be something for anyone on here to watch it, I thought it was about some show glorifying ghetto culture.
It does glorify ghetto culture....lol. I like it. I find it really good and funny at the same time. I am conservative in politics and social issues in real life, but with Fictional Hollywood I am pretty liberal........I will watch anything if I enjoy it. I have said that many times here. I am an adult and make decisions on TV shows on my own without any outside influences. Sorry but that is just the way it is.
The only thing I don’t like is they gave Lucious ALS. So what happens if the show lasts more than 3-5 seasons?
Me too....I hate that. I was thinking the same thing about number of seasons. However, I don’t think Fox thought it would be the hit it became and maybe they thought they could maybe get 2 seasons out of it....now they are stuck. It will be interesting to see what they do.
