Its campaign has grown frantic, its activists are moribund. And though it would be wrong to bury the ruling Likud party, its supporters are right to be worried.
The Likud party is losing the election. Thats not the assessment of pollsters or analysts but of Likud itself, which has spent much of the last few days in an increasingly frantic scramble to warn right-wing voters that voting for any other right-wing party could lead to a left-wing government.
We might wake up in a week and find that Tzipi [Livni] and [Isaac] Boujie [Herzog] are prime ministers of Israel, Netanyahu himself warned in a campaign video Wednesday after multiple polls showed Likud dropping to 21 seats while the rival center-left Zionist Union rose to 24 and even 25.
That scenario is a real danger, warned Likud MK Yisrael Katz.
When the right was split in 1992, it brought the Oslo Accords. In 1999, it brought the [Ehud] Barak government, a Likud statement warned ominously, urging supporters of Jewish Home, Shas, Kulanu and other parties to switch to the center-right mainstay in order to avoid a similar calamity.

WELL ... in that case (that you describe) ... we could call the loss of the election by Netanyahu ... GOOD NEWS ... :-) ...
Well ... considering Israel was formed and made with leftists and that they’ve got plenty of leftists over there now ... you wouldn’t really need too many ... :-) ...
As much as we all love and support them, the bulk of the Israeli populace are essentially Socialists. And apparently Bibi has not been shelling out Free Sh*t fast enough for them.
The bride of Christ is referred to as “she”. “He” may refer to the Holy Spirit but it doesn’t follow that the Church should then follow. The holy Spirit may remain with church believers but will stop his restraint of the rise of the “Beast” system. Revelation speaks of the deaths or imprisonments of believers for a time. Yes at some point a rapture does occur. Perhaps it will occur as you say and the deaths Revelation speaks of are “end times saints”.
I only raise some objections only as a caution that church history is rife with predictions that never quite panned out and even the fact that Jesus came to Earth in a manner that all the “experts” never quite expected...though prophecy had always predicted that he would so appear...but not as prophecy “HAD ALWAYS BEEN INTERPRETED”!
Remember Christ’s curious rhetorical question.....”When the Son of Man shall appear, will he find faith upon the Earth?”
It’s all about building a coalition. And there are more rightwing parties then there are left wing. Bringing in more parties will make it harder to govern, and Netenyahu may have to bring in parties he’d rather have nothing to do with, but I think at the end of the day he’ll remain in office.
Some voters are concerned about the PM’s confrontational relationship with the U.S.President. The speech put that on display. He should have come back triumphant.
The “founding fathers” of Israel were mainly leftists ... if that answers your question ... :-) ...
Yep ...
Yeah, I hear that’s possible ... :-) ...
Here’s an article to help people figure out and understand Israeli elections ... :-) ...
Everything you need to know about Israeli elections but were afraid to ask

Israelis hear a lot more Netanyahu speeches than we do. They’re harder to impress. And they hear his political rivals with impressive military and intelligence credentials themselves disagreeing with his tactics, while conceding his point. Israel has domestic issues too.
I read the article from haaretz-No wonder we are “afraid to ask .”
If the liberals win, then I would say that all hell is about to fall on Israel. Only God above can save her anyway. This could unleash the hell that the Bible says is coming Israel’s way.
stupid people here elected and reelected the bammy boy...again, we know even freepers did this...well put.
Boy I hope he’s about to lose.
I really want to see a middle east completely dominated by ISIS and Iran. :)
/sarc(???)
I have no problem whatsoever with Netanyahu's foreign policy views. He is 100% right about Iran.
Rather, I've found that Netanyahu "as a sort of RINO" on social issues. If taxpayer funded abortion-on-demand for women age 18 to 35 and having the most "gay friendly" cities in the Middle East and using the government to promote homos constantly is "conservative", I'd hate to see what Israel's idea of liberal is.
If I was President, I'd give Netanyahu an earful about his social policies when he comes here and asks us to support his country. Israel is killing more Jewish babies than Hamas could ever dream of.
That being said, since fringe third parties aren't going to accomplish anything besides winning a few marginal seats, there's no question anyone right-of-center should support Netanyahu and pray he gets another term as PM. The country is screwed if another Ehud Barak type gets in who wants to play footsie with the Palestinians and sell off half his country.
I think that's exactly right. Even with 25 seats, Zionist Union cannot form a ruling coalition.

They may put someone in charge who does not have Israel's best interest at heart.
They said something like that could never happen in America.. yet here we are.
If Netanyahu loses how many countries could we turn to other than Canada?
