Impress me ??? in what way ???
You included in your list Perry and Walker, 2 guys who spit in my face as an immigrant who entered this country the right way...
I’m not disagreeing with you about the evil bit CB.
I was simply pointing out that Cruz has his problems in that arena too.
Some of the leading Cruz cheerleaders here are well aware of his stance on the issue. They’ve discussed it among themselves, but prefer to blacken Walker than admit the truth about Cruz to others.
That appears to be simply another facet of the evil you referenced.
The problem here is that events never changed. Illegal immigration, which was illegal when Walker came out favoring a path to citizenship, is still illegal now. Only Walker has changed, at least on the surface.
Good move. But you won’t move back, will you Scott?
Hey I was just running down my top five, to see.
:D
Never mind.
You're asking Walker to come back to the conservative reservation? That's mighty understanding of you.
Personally, I've got no use for a politician who 'evolves' on his core principles, right before an election. If you haven't noticed, they always seem to 'evolve' right back to their former RINO positions in the general.
No thanks.
That's a weak defense. The vast majority of us were firmly against illegal immigration and amnesty at the same time Walker busy was promoting a 'pathway to citizenship' for them.
He was a politician even then, yet didn't have the same established core values on this one critical issue, that most conservatives already did. That ought to tell you a great deal about the man.
It's a personal deficit that I can't overlook.
Dream on. :-)
I don't understand why you have such an alarm mechanism...just kick the ball again.
So gladddd. I was just kidding. It is a Sunday night already.....Have a great week.
It is promising. I think I need more than one day though.
This is his worst issue. If he’s really changed there’s nobody close to him. I sincerely hope this is genuine and not just an appeasement. I think it is real as ever since I’ve known/voted for him, he has not ever done this.
“Tough crowd here. Why cant you just accept that he means what he says. Maybe he is telling the truth, the last few years have made many people more anti-amnesty. He sure is right on so many other things and is about the closest thing to conservative purity that we have seen in many years. Im Walker or Cruz, either one of them is fine with me.”
I have no problem with him changing his mind. What I have problem with is the fact that he once thought that it was an acceptable position. This isn’t like preferring strawberry over chocolate....it’s about having a position that follows the law, respects and protects US citizens, vs one that has no regard for the rule of law. Not respecting the law....just because you don’t like it, is a big part of the problem with Zero.
The fact that he flippantly changes his mind without recognizing that is very troubling.
lol

Snippet from the article:
What has not been as evident is what he supports: legal status for millions of people here already, while making it easier for immigrants to come here through the front door.
Sen. Cruz has never been in favor of adjusting (legalizing) the status of those here illegally. The September 2013 NYT article you cite puts words in his mouth. It was not a quote; it was the NYT's interpretation, intended to suppress the conservative base. I challenge you to find a quote from Sen. Cruz that says what the NYT says above. Sen. Cruz's proposed amendment to the 2013 Gang of Eight Senate immigration bill, wherein he merely removed a pathway to citizenship, was a tactic to lay bare the hypocrisy of the Democrats, not a policy statement.
For conservatives, Sen. Cruz is head and shoulders above any other potential Republican candidate on the topic of immigration.
Democrat elites aren't concerned about quality of life in the United States because they (personally) have enough money to ensure a high quality of life for themselves. The fact that their children and grandchildren (and most of the rest of us) will live in a third world hellhole isn't of concern to them.
Walker is right... the issue needs to be looked at - aired out...
BUMP
NO Walker.
OK..... All you Rubio haters who refuse to accept his change of heart regarding Immigration, or consider him for 2016, I want to hear you excoriate Scott Walker now, like you continually excoriate Rubio. Walker has “changed his mind” about his earlier stance on Immigration. Changing one’s mind is NOT allowed here. Fell free to jump in folks; let destroy as many Conservatives as we can to insure Jeb is the nominee and eventual loser in November 2016.
Same thing goes for Walker. Happy now?
