February 26, 2015 Scott Walker found his stride in a rowdy Conservative Polical Action Conference crowd Thursday during a speech aggressively touting his record as Wisconsin governor to offer evidence for why he's ready to take on the White House in 2016.
"If we can do it in Wisconsin, we can do it across America," Walker said.
After refusing to answer questions about whether President Obama was Christian and declining to clearly outline his position on evolution in recent weeks, Walker did not shy away from some contentious social issues, such as abortion, that have become stumbling blocks for him. Before an eager crowd, Walker continued his campaign to prove he is both pragmatic and conservative enough to win the Republican presidential nomination. He mentioned lower property taxes, the expansion of Second Amendment rights, and defunding Planned Parenthood—all to prove that he can "fight and win" in Wisconsin, a state where a Republican presidential candidate has not won for 30 years.

There’s a link, yes, but the priority now is re-establishing that the federal government is the SERVANT of the people. NOT the other way around. We’ll have plenty of time for dealing with the other stuff when this is rectified.
Remember when government employees at all levels were referred to as “public servants”? That’s the very basic thing we need to get back to.
But of course you are lobbying hard against Walker and misconstruing his positions to paint him in a bad light... you always do so when a candidate on the right has a great chance at getting elected no matter how conservative they are.
So who is your perfect candidate that meets every position to your satisfaction?
[ Or, maybe you just don’t care about actually protecting life, and marriage, and the appropriate role of the judiciary, and our borders.]
Very simplistic wrong comment made to one who has been for all the above since my first presidential vote in 1956.
So are you ignorant of, or simply ignoring, things like his complete blowing off of the fight for marriage, or his past comments that must be construed by any honest observer as pro-amnesty, or his “pro-life” advertising in the last election that can fairly be described as the most pro-choice pro-life ad ever aired?
I note that in his CPAC speech, just like he did at Steve King’s event in Iowa a few weeks ago, in the few seconds on both occasions that he thought it was worth even referring to the subject, he bragged about signing “pro-life” legislation.
But what exactly did he himself say about that legislation, in his own voice, on camera, in paid advertising, just last fall?

Is that really “pro-life” to you?
I don’t have a candidate for president in 2016. No one has shown me that they have a full grasp of the true dangers besetting this free republic.
So sue me.
Obviously you don’t want to believe what transpired today at CPAC. Is it your opinion that all potential candidates who went one on one with Hannity were lying ? That includes, Rand Paul, Dr. Carson, Gov. Jingal, Sen. Cruz and any I might have missed?
What transpired today at CPAC was business-as-usual. I haven’t seen any evidence that it was anything else.
That’s amazing .. because I’ve NEVER heard Ted Cruz say any such thing.

No desire to sue you...just showing folks where you really stand so they can judge your critical remarks against Scott Walker in that light. Old timers here know how you approach elections but newbies might not.
I approach elections from a plumb line of simple core conservative principles.
How do you approach them?
Regarding that ad, he was discussing a specific bill he had signed which requires ultrasound prior to abortion and will require new safety standards that would force some abortion clinics to close. Yes, that is a pro-life measure and he signed it.
MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Scott Walker quietly signed a contentious Republican bill Friday that would require women seeking abortions to undergo an ultrasound and ban doctors who lack admitting privileges at nearby hospitals from performing the procedures.
Opponents contend legislators shouldn’t force women to undergo any medical procedure and the bill will force two abortion clinics where providers lack admitting privileges to shut their doors. The law takes effect Monday. Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and the American Civil Liberties Union filed a federal lawsuit within hours of the signing alleging the bill is unconstitutional and asking for a temporary restraining order blocking the measure.

Yeah, I know all about the bill.
“Follow our arbitrary set of rules, and then you can kill the baby.”
Keep winnowing down the criteria for who deserves to have "rights" and pretty soon, no one does.
I approach elections from the plumb line of simple core conservative principles, also. Then I campaign for and vote for candidates that will actually be able to move public policy in those directions.
The parable of the talents... I try to invest my time and voting power into producing results for God instead of burying them with self-righteous piety but producing absolutely nothing.
Compromising core truth, and moral principle, produces no results for God. Nor does it produce any real results for the country, not in the end. You’re fooling yourself.
I guess that is the difference between us. To me, closing some abortion clinics is a result for God. Requiring ultrasounds which would convince SOME women to change their minds will save some babies. Not all, but some, and that is a result for God. It is not enough, correct, but it is a partial result in the right direction. Constantly letting socialists remain in charge who will close ZERO abortion clinics and who do everything possible to encourage more women to have abortions.... that is no result for God.
Unlike yourself, apparently, I’ve read hundreds of these bills, and invariably, they contain language that grants explicit permission to kill babies, all of the babies in fact, as long as they are slaughtered on time and by the rules.
That’s immoral and unconstitutional.
And the courts have over and over again struck them down as being burdensome to a woman’s supposed “right” to access to the expertise to murder her offspring.
Which leaves “pro-life,” judicial supremacist politicians like Walker with nothing. Except freshly burnished “pro-life” credentials, of course. Which always seem to work to once again sucker the “pro-life” rubes long enough to get their support through one more election.
Sorry. Compromising away unalienable individual rights and equal protection for the supreme right is nothing but surrender. Do it, and you’re nothing more than a casualty, at best.
And the claims about saving some babies are a mirage. Nothing more.
As Gov. Walker openly admitted in his ad:

I guess you didn't notice that he banned the Boy Scouts from helping because of they Boy Scout stance on Gay issues.
guys like Scott Walker talk a big game-—and they are just
another horse in the race;in fact he’s not even a dark
horse.
The way I view guys like him is that he is just spouting
off @ the mouth & trying to figure out what pleases
people most.
This man has very little backbone.
If Ted Cruz runs I’m voting for him
