February 26, 2015 Scott Walker found his stride in a rowdy Conservative Polical Action Conference crowd Thursday during a speech aggressively touting his record as Wisconsin governor to offer evidence for why he's ready to take on the White House in 2016.
"If we can do it in Wisconsin, we can do it across America," Walker said.
After refusing to answer questions about whether President Obama was Christian and declining to clearly outline his position on evolution in recent weeks, Walker did not shy away from some contentious social issues, such as abortion, that have become stumbling blocks for him. Before an eager crowd, Walker continued his campaign to prove he is both pragmatic and conservative enough to win the Republican presidential nomination. He mentioned lower property taxes, the expansion of Second Amendment rights, and defunding Planned Parenthoodall to prove that he can "fight and win" in Wisconsin, a state where a Republican presidential candidate has not won for 30 years.

He should know that every Social Conservative I know wants to hear more about Executive Amnesty, Executive Fiat and Obamacare.
What will/would he do to redress the greatest political calamities?
Then we can ask him about international relations and the use of force.
No Quarter for ANY aspirant this time.
None.
They all pander.
Even El Jefe Jeb has humiliatingly abandoned his principles to pander to those conservative activists he despises.
Apparently fooling them is the way to the GOP nomination.
A good president and VP pair should rise to the top from this group. It will probably be seen that that the American people are going to select a candidate(s) themselves and that Washington and its RINOs are not going to be doing the selecting.
Jeb has the big name donors and establishment backing but he’s struggling to win over conservatives.
“If we can do it in Wisconsin, we can do it across America,” Walker said
What I want to know is, can you do it without cheap labor?
I want a candidate that is squarely behind the rule of law, the citizens and American soveignty.
We’ve had 4 cheap labor importers in a row for the GOP nomination. I didn’t know Bush meant, No Amnesty, the same way McCain meant it until he said, “See ya at the signin” when they tried to pass McCain/Kennedy.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, can’t get fooled again.
I think he likely has a lock on that.
Clinton/Bush ‘16! Because lets face it, the republic is over!
Scott Walker support full, legal Amnesty.
As a matter of Federal Law.
Across the board Amnesty for everyone here now and anyone that can get here.
And full qualification for Federal Benefits.
No siree. DOA.
“Also, we're going to pass ‘free’ trade with every country that has $1/day slave laborers. Good luck ever finding a private sector job that pays more than $15/hour after we're done eliminating any imaginable incentive to hire American-born workers.”
Unions aren't the national problem these days that they used to be -— they primarily cripple their own respective states (the public sector unions, that is). It's illegal immigration that's doing the damage these days, and the Chamber Of Commerce with its relentless push to lower American wages in every possible way.
I’m sure all 3 Billion Americans will support his second term.
Good
A challenge to tech savvy Freepers. Who can post the picture of Scott Walker putting on his Harley Davidson helmut that is now on the Drudge page - and then put the picture of Obama riding his bike wearing his helmut next to the Scott Walker photo. It will be a hoot!
.... The GOPe Long knives will be out for Walker ..... Because ..... in the eyes of Obama’s useful idiots ... he is unacceptable ..........
what is his position on these illegal amnesty and baby killing— OUT OF HIS MOUTH!
He is already on record opposing amnesty. Look up his interview with Bret Baier.
I have read the first 13 posts here and frankly I am concerned that this blog is doomed. What happened to that old American spirit that we can accomplish anything that we set out to do? Are you throwing in the towel?
Today at CPAC, there were many young, energetic conservatives speaking, and some very impressive potential candidates for POTUS. Ronald Reagan would not recognize the conservative spirit that is lacking in many of you. Nor would Barry Goldwater. They would say, get up and fight and quit whining.
Also, go for the best candidate you can find here. STOP STOP STOP this incessant, crabby, negative attitude. Please.
Every social conservative you know want to hear more about Obamacare, executive, amnesty, yada, yada, yada???????
Who are these social conservatives that you are speaking to? I feel that I am a social conservative, but I love Scott Walker, Ted Cruz and Bobby Jindal. They are my absolute favorites.
They/we all care about Marriage, Abortion, Private Education and Home Schooling and the general degeneration of society to the base.
Well, maybe not all. I lean toward the libertarian side of some of that...but Abortion and Education are paramount issues for all.
But it's just not enough. The survival of the Republic is an existential question.
Republicans and conservatives never seem to be able to organize amongst themselves and figure out what their main platform is. As Thomas Sowell noted, as obscene and horrific as the platforms of modern liberals and/or Democrats are, at least they have a consistent platform that they can express to their rabid support base in a manner that gets their attention. A lot of conservatives seem to struggle to even create a consistent platform that articulates their main concerns, much less be able to express it clearly enough to gain support.
A conservative platform centering on placing Executive Amnesty, Executive Fiat and Obamacare at the top and expressing coherent reasons why these are top priorities would be awesome. I just worry about the extent to which it can get done.
