There’s a link, yes, but the priority now is re-establishing that the federal government is the SERVANT of the people. NOT the other way around. We’ll have plenty of time for dealing with the other stuff when this is rectified.

Remember when government employees at all levels were referred to as “public servants”? That’s the very basic thing we need to get back to.

I do remember that! Instead, now, they make us all criminals for the most benign "offenses". Here in WA, for example, HB-1713 seeks to revoke 2A rights from anyone who has ever been involuntarily committed for use of any substance. That can mean alcohol, tobacco, or even prescription medication. It's just another way to criminalize innocent folks, and further sheepify the citizenry making us easier to control.

Keep winnowing down the criteria for who deserves to have "rights" and pretty soon, no one does.
