It is amusing to watch the furies unleashed in both the White House and the liberal media over former Mayor Rudy Giulianis citing of the Communist Frank Marshall Davis as an influence on the young Barack Obama. And Giulianis insistence that, partly as a direct result of that influence, the president doesnt love America the way we do.
On Sunday, Davis biographer Paul Kengor wrote a terrific piece laying out the history of the Davis-Obama relationship in detail. The full title of Mr. Kengors book, notably is The Communist: Frank Marshall Davis: The Untold Story of Barack Obamas Mentor. As Kengor points out in detail, Rudy was right. But well aside from that is the larger issue of the influence of Communism itself on the modern Democratic Party and its ideas. Far from being the province of supposedly nutty, frothing far-right zealots, this issue was discussed years ago by none other than Ronald Reagan.
So lets begin with the specifics. As is well recorded, both in the day and ever after in Reagan lore, on October 27, 1964 actor Reagan gave a nationally televised speech at the end of the presidential campaign on behalf of GOP nominee Senator Barry Goldwater. Goldwater was fighting a losing battle against LBJ in a moment that turned out to be the high-tide of American liberalism. The Reagan speech, eventually titled A Time for Choosing, pulled no punches on the subject of ties between the Democrats and communism. The speech was a rousing success. Not only did it raise a stunning (in the day and even now) $8 million for Goldwater's last few campaign days, it not so coincidentally launched Reagan's own political career as a twice elected California governor and president of the United States all four victories coming in landslides. Said Reagan:

And Harry S Truman was a VP ticket replacement for a Soviet stooge.
I think I first heard that association from Brannon House from the Worldview Weekend podcast.
Yes, that move was rather blatant.
But, like the ministry of truth, if you put that in front of any liberal, they’ll pretty much say “it’s always been that way”.
This whole issue is starting to sound like a loyalty oath to me.
If you don’t stand up and say “Obama loves America and he is a Christian”, then you have failed to take the New Loyalty Oath.
Loyalty to Dear Leader is not assumed, it must be demonstrated.
I’ve said it before.....McCarthy was right!
If Roosevelt had died 3 months earlier, Henry Wallace would have become President. Obama would not be the worst president in American history.
If this one party utter nonsense (Let’s not kid ourselves. This is a one-party nation. One party with two heads like a two-headed serpent.) continues much longer there will be something happening that could resemble Madrid in 1936.
The people in America who still possess functioning brains will see that with all the internal secrecy and plotting there are only a very few avenues open.
We are growing sick and tired of being sick and tired of these complicit sycophantic politicians who are actually practicing a form of incest.
How to run a nation? Stay out of debt, sharpen the points on your missiles, stop idolizing perversity and keep all the politicians at bay where they belong.
So far Walker appears to be the better candidate regardless of the fact that the media hates him.
This white hut parasitic weasel will ALWAYS take the prize.
We are, at this time, in the worst possible condition both militarily and economically in our history. It will take decades, if not eons, to clear away the debris left behind by this anti-American Muslim.
It’s quite easy to tie Democrats to the CPUSA. The latter organization always endorses the far-left Democrat candidate for anything!
His patriotism is finally showing.
From the inception of color television until the 2000 election, the national news media alternated red and blue for the parties each election, specifically so as not to offend Democrats by always associating them with communist reds.
After the 2000 election, the media seized on using red to describe Republican states (in the 1996 election red had been used for Democrat states) and it has stuck ever since. The national media much prefers to associate Republicans with "angry red" than to associate Democrats with "communist red."
Damn Demmunists.
It was posted on FR about 2 years ago. At the time I followed the embedded link and found out it was a term that came from Vladimir Lenin. It is a means of making people accept things that they wouldn’t normally accept.

He had to reach that point in order to take the flak he’s going to take over pointing out the nudity of the emperor.
In his next public statement, Rudy needs to quote Orwell:
“In a world of deceit, speaking the truth is a revolutionary act.”
Excellent reference. Thanks for that link.
Back in Reagan’s day the dems where soft core communists; now the dems along with the Rino’s have ceased control and are hard core communists; making the likes of Putin irrelevant as far as serious communism is concerned.
You’re very welcome.
