It is amusing to watch the furies unleashed in both the White House and the liberal media over former Mayor Rudy Giulianis citing of the Communist Frank Marshall Davis as an influence on the young Barack Obama. And Giulianis insistence that, partly as a direct result of that influence, the president doesnt love America the way we do.
On Sunday, Davis biographer Paul Kengor wrote a terrific piece laying out the history of the Davis-Obama relationship in detail. The full title of Mr. Kengors book, notably is The Communist: Frank Marshall Davis: The Untold Story of Barack Obamas Mentor. As Kengor points out in detail, Rudy was right. But well aside from that is the larger issue of the influence of Communism itself on the modern Democratic Party and its ideas. Far from being the province of supposedly nutty, frothing far-right zealots, this issue was discussed years ago by none other than Ronald Reagan.
So lets begin with the specifics. As is well recorded, both in the day and ever after in Reagan lore, on October 27, 1964 actor Reagan gave a nationally televised speech at the end of the presidential campaign on behalf of GOP nominee Senator Barry Goldwater. Goldwater was fighting a losing battle against LBJ in a moment that turned out to be the high-tide of American liberalism. The Reagan speech, eventually titled A Time for Choosing, pulled no punches on the subject of ties between the Democrats and communism. The speech was a rousing success. Not only did it raise a stunning (in the day and even now) $8 million for Goldwater's last few campaign days, it not so coincidentally launched Reagan's own political career as a twice elected California governor and president of the United States all four victories coming in landslides. Said Reagan:

Rudy knows it is upon us.
And it all starts with political correctness which was originally cultural Marxism.
Dissent is only patriotic when dems do it...when republicans speak out it is a new DHS threat to the nation.
The good ole communist way....putting in place the KGB to go after dissenters.
VERY important info
Bttt
There is no longer a patriotic side to the modern Dem party.
...
Same for the GOP at the national level. It’s all about power and money being concentrated in the federal government.
The Democratic party actions speak louder than words to prove just who they are.
The more who speak out about Obama, the more America will wake up.
The last moderate democrat was George Bush.
The Democrat party has been taken over by the left wing of the party. The Republican party has taken over by the left wing of the party. Both parties want to eliminate the patriots, i.e. Tea Party.

The article is good, but it needs a new title.
Neither Reagan nor Giuliani “tied Democrats to Communists.” They simply publicly acknowledged the undeniable ties that exist between Democrats and Communists.
It is a subtle distinction, but one that needs to be made. The only ones who are tying Democrats to Communists are Democrats.
It’s considered unconscionable and McCarthyite to mention Frank Marshall Davis or Saul Alinsky as influences on Obama, yet the media were all over the fact that Paul Ryan had an interest in the works of Ayn Rand. THAT was considered fair game. Once, again, these a**holes are applying a double standard. The only way to fight it is not to grovel and apologize or backtrack, but to challenge the hypocrisy outright.
And it all starts with political correctness which was originally cultural Marxism.
That’s exactly right. The purpose was/is to control the narrative.
The last moderate elected as a Democrat was Harry S Truman. He was also the last Democrat that was worth a damn.
There is no plausible deniability that the Democrat party is closely ideologically tied to communism.
The Communist Party USA even said it was unnecessary to field a candidate because the Democrat candidate represented their views so closely.
political correctness which was originally cultural Marxism
Out of curiosity, where’d you pick up that little nugget?
The fat Ditzi Chick said that patriotism was overrated anyway.
Here’s one reference.
