Somali Terrorist Group Targets Western Shopping Malls In Call For Lone Wolf Attacks

The al Qaeda branch in Somalia released a video Saturday celebrating the September 2013 attack on the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya, that killed 60 people in a four-day siege. In the 66-minute video, unleashed on Twitter in both English and Arabic, al-Shabab called for attacks on specific targets in the U.S., Canada and Britain.
“If just a handful of mujahedeen [militant jihadists] fighters could bring Kenya to a complete standstill for nearly a week, just imagine what the dedicated mujahedeen could do in the West to American or Jewish shopping centers across the world,” a masked gunman says toward the end of the video. “What if such an attack were to occur in the Mall of America in Minnesota? Or the West Edmonton Mall in Canada? Or in London's Oxford Street?”
The video raises concern it could help inspire lone-wolf attacks by radicalized individuals in these countries who are teetering on committing violent acts in the name of Allah. Online social media has helped widen the audience for Islamist propaganda despite efforts by Facebook and Twitter to weed out troubling broadcasts.
While social media sites are filled with militant Islamist propaganda calls for violence (such as how to make bombs in your mother’s kitchen or praising the usefulness of Honda motorcycles to commit terrorist acts), it’s unusual for terrorists to be so specific about civilian targets. News of the video was first reported by Bethesda, Maryland, SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors activities of extremist groups.
"The English-speaking narrator in this video sounds remarkably similar to the narrator from past Shabab releases,” SITE Director Rita Katz said in a report announcing the news Saturday.

Obama policy to bring Syrian refugees into US raises concern among Republicans, intelligence community
An Obama administration plan to allow Syrian refuges into the United States is raising concerns within the intelligence community and on Capitol Hill — with one GOP House leader calling it a “federally sanctioned welcome party” to potential terrorists.
The State Department has defended the plan to welcome refugees from the war-ravaged western Asia country, saying the U.S. was founded on the principles of helping such people.
However, House Republicans are concern about members of The Islamic State, whose de facto headquarters is in Syria, infiltrating the refugee system and getting on American soil.
Mike McCaul, chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, said Friday night on Fox News’ “Hannity” show that the policy is “dangerous and reckless.”

What are the odds that of the over 30,000 ‘legal’ Somalians in Minniesoda, a bad egg or two may not go Jihad at the Mall?

When going to the Minn State Fair several years ago, I noticed many Somali men hanging around the street corners close to the MOA. Wondered what they were up to.
I fully expect, as long as Imam obama is in office, that we will suffer the same type of attacks on civilians as Israel. At least they kicked azz in return, but the current bunch will palm them off, as somebody here mentioned, as "workplace violence" - and the media presstitues will echo that meme on receiving their memo-for-the-day.
Um, if you recall, Ft. Hood was attacked by someone in the military! If anything, this should have brought down the wrath of citizenry, but it didn’t. Why not? The political class will excuse it and excuse it and excuse it more. There is no indication that citizenry is ready to fight back, especially if it happens during Prime Time programming.
