While former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani of New York has been criticized for remarks he made at a small dinner event in Manhattan about President Obama and his love for America, establishment Republicans also have questioned the reaction of the person being honored at that reception, Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, who is a likely Republican presidential contender in 2016.
Mr. Walker, who sat feet from Mr. Giuliani as he spoke, did not take a position on Mr. Giulianis comments, made at the 21 Club Wednesday evening, in which he said he did not think Mr. Obama loved America. Appearing on CNBC the following morning, Mr. Walker would say only, The mayor can speak for himself.
On Saturday, he turned the lens onto Mr. Obama.
You should ask the president what he thinks about America, he told The Associated Press. He added, Ive never asked him so I dont know.
After a midterm election cycle in which establishment Republicans, and their broad network of major donors, beat back primary challenges from hard-line conservatives, many are hopeful that they can nominate a candidate who can find broad support and be competitive with Hillary Rodham Clinton, the expected Democratic front-runner.

Dan Senor, a prominent Republican adviser on a range of issues, did not discuss Mr. Walker directly in an email exchange with The New York Times on Friday, but said he saw little value in his party getting bogged down in a discussion about the presidents mindset.
There is a simple response: I dont challenge President Obamas love for America; I challenge his agenda for America. Period. And then move off it, Mr. Senor said. The last thing we want is to be drawn into a psychoanalytical debate about what is in the presidents heart.

Until repubs insist on the same standard we are at a huge disadvantage.
Think of Obama spending all those years in the congregation of Jeremiah "God Damn America" Wright.
Ask Michelle exactly what did she mean when she said "For the first time in my adult life, I'm proud of my county"
It's both ways. The Street Rats want to keep warm and so do their potential victims; no players, no game.
Yep, exactly. They’re trying to make Walker the issue instead of Rudy.
The idea is not to give a considered or detailed response to a stupid question. If they ask the question over and over, more people will start wondering if 0bama does love America, and the media will need to ask 0bama that question directly.
Of course, 0bama will say he loves America, but to have to answer that question means that many have doubts- just like the BC, being a Christian etc.
When the Establishment Republicans are attacking you, you must be doing something right.

Depending on the thread/article, Walker has been referred to as ‘establishment’ and as ‘conservative’. He apparently has the media, the Dems, the Libs, and the GOP Elites confused, too.
Of course, that is the same media that claims Jeb Bush is conservative. In fact, according to many of them, he is the most conservative in the pack. One Jeb pusher went so far as to claim that ‘amnesty and open borders’ Jeb would actually lock down the border, if he won the election. [I still get a chuckle out of that claim.]
The “tsk tsk tsk” wing of the RINO establishment will respond this way no matter the topic and no matter the response. If he had responded exactly the way they say he should have they’d have found something about that response to “tsk tsk tsk” about.
Craven bitches!
I saw nothing wrong about Dan Senor’s response. he
basically agreed that the question was nonsensical.
Scott Reed, OTOH, was idiotic in his response. Since Reed was the campaign manager for Bob Dole, I do not think he is in any position to question Scott Walker’s qualifications or his abilities to respond to silly media questions.
i have been saying this since 2006..
i will put it in terms that no one can misunderstand..
establishment republicans are democrats...
mainstream republicans are socialists...
conservative republicans are moderates...
hard line conservative republicans are barely conservative..
any questions?
