Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) will miss a crucial vote in the U.S. Senate next week. Senate Republicans will try to break the Democrat filibuster of a House-passed bill that funds the entire Department of Homeland Security (DHS) but blocks funding for President Obamas executive amnesty. Rubio will miss the vote because hell be in New Hampshire, testing the waters for a potential presidential campaign.
“Rubio will be in New Hampshire early next week, where he’s going to miss at least one vote in the Senate on the DHS deadlock, Politicos Burgess Everett wrote on Friday morning in the tip sheet email by Politico, Huddle.
Rubios spokesman Alex Conant confirms that Rubio will miss the vote, since he doesnt expect it to pass.
Yes, he’s expected to miss the same procedural vote on Monday afternoon that he’s already cast several times already and we know will not pass, Conant said in an email to Breitbart News.
It’s not unusual for presidential candidates to miss Senate votes. Senator Rubio has not made a final decision about 2016, but he’s seriously considering running for president and taking the necessary steps to prepare a competitive campaign.
As he travels the country meeting with voters, there will be no doubt where he stands on any important issues before the Senate. Regarding the underlying issue: Marco does not and will not support a clean DHS funding bill that does not repeal the Presidents unconstitutional executive order on immigration.

I never actually liked the guy, never had much confidence in him anyway; too much part of the weird political stuff going on in Florida. He’s jumping in the pool before they’ve finished putting water in it, heads-first, and he’s going to receive quite a knot on the ol’ noggin. He needs to stick around like a bad cold in Washington and cast his vote on this bill!

Same here...I’ve never liked him.
Something about that chipmunky, smirky face always struck me wrong. He’s very glib, very smooth.

exactly, and what a courageous a vice president he’ll make,
obama showed them all how to never show up for work and dont be on record and still get elected President, and if per chance they should happen to be around accidentally for a major vote (because some aid screwed up their schedule) then just vote ‘present’

Rubio and other rinos of the GOP are pro amnesty and pro abortion and pro big government and pro homosexual marriage and other evils characterized by the left wing communist democrats who run cover for them. Screw Rubio and all rinos and democrats who support these measures. I will stay home if he wins the primary. Screw the GOP for not pulling the nuclear option gambit the leftist communists use. Man ooh man, I can no longer abide the DC communists dems and rinos.

Whatever occurs as an outcome of the vote Rubio will hide behind the fact he was UNABLE to be there to vote, and that, afterall, he didn't expect it to pass anyway.
Politics as USUAL folks. Rubio is, in effect saying.. I'm doing what I want to do NOT what the American people want me to do.

Rubio has conceded the race.

It doesn't make a difference if he thinks the vote will fail or not. He should be standing on principle and voting to pass the measure anyway.
This just goes to show that he's all style and no substance. He's also just shown how terrible of a senator that he is, and how terrible of a president he'd make.

Drink up, loser.

NO NO NO!
You don’t want him to stand on “his” principles. His principle is amnesty all the way. That is the real reason he’s not going to be there. He wants to be the great Hispanic Hope of the GOP. He does not want to vote against the filibuster but he’s up for re-election in 2016 and voting for the filibuster would be a big problem for him in Florida. He would not vote to end the filibuster because “his” constituents — the illegals, and hispanics he speaks honestly with whenever he speaks to them, would think that he’s been lying to them.
But he has no problem lying to US sovereignty loving citizens and taxpayers. He just avoids taking a stand because if he stood for what he believes in, he’d be out of the Senate. Just like JEBBY!, he wants to be able to win without appearing to lie and without antagonizing the TEA party he lied to when he first came into the Senate. If he doesn’t show up to vote, he doesn’t have to defend an amnesty loving vote nor cast a vote against what he really believes.

This is his M.O.! Marco is about Marco! This is the same M.O. he ran with as a legislator in Florida. Look it up. I needed to vote for him so Charlie Crisp (s) would not be our senator! He needs to stay in the senate until we can replace him. We need a grass root candidate to take these mouthpieces to the river! Some of us realize, and are working on the problem! Stiff Bill Nelson replacement's are Deb Washerwomen or Alan Grayson. We have a problem here in Florida!
