We are not far off from the installation of walls to keep people in.

We are looking more and more like the old Soviet amalgam of eastern European states every day. “Mr Socialistas, tear down that wall!!!”

As I understand it, New York and Pennsylvania and the U.S. Congress would all have to approve a change in state boundaries.

Somehow I get the feeling that Cuomo and New York would never approve this.

Every time a group of people yearning for a better life choose to simply remove their lands away from the leadership that is keeping them unhappy, that leadership fights to keep them where they are. ‘Twas ever thus, across all cultures and continents. I hope they succeed... but the big-government lovers cannot allow it to happen.

Maybe Pennsylvania can start arming an insurgency.

It’s time for The People to take matters into their own hands. TELL government DON’T ask it.

‘The Southern Tier is desolate,’ said Conklin Town Supervisor Jim Finch (R). ‘We have no jobs and no income. The richest resource we have is in the ground.'”

It's been like that for the last fifty years...the cancer that is New York City keeps them in shackles.

Career politics has degenerated into simply staying in office in order to live a sumptuous lifestyle. At best, it’s an oligarchy. And the oligarchs will never allow freedom seeking subjects to secede. Not in New York. Not in Kalifornistan. Not anywhere in the US. It would upset the socialist order (of those states).

Today , Gov. Cuomo was on the radio advertizing New York State as Snow Trail Country; larger and more trails than all the trails of NH/Vt/Mass/Conn/Me.
His recent inauguration as Governor was held downstate, in New York City, the land of Sheldon Silver .
He has ignored problems of almost all of upstate New York, except at re-election time.
Such behavior has consequences , including secession and looking into joining Pennsylvania ; similarly, Long Island is looking into secession from NYS as well.
That should give you an idea of what the rest of the State thinks of Cuomo;
if GOPe (NJ) Christy had given Republican Asterino money from Republican coffers for the recent election,
New York State would probably have had a new Governor .

Stories that include the word secession seem to be adding up.

Pennsylvania won’t be an improvement. The cities are just like New York City. Plus we have a Democrat commie governor and Republicans who are more liberal than Democrats

Stay away. We don’t need a third Democratic bastion. Scranton /Wilkes Barre is enough.

‘The Southern Tier is desolate,’ said Conklin Town Supervisor Jim Finch (R). ‘We have no jobs and no income.'

Just the way liberals like it -- it keeps them in their jobs and their (high) income. The more dependency, the more people they're "helping."

Cuomo hates the Southern Tier because it tends to be Republican. So he;s punishing the people there. No fracking, no casinos. Take that!

Fifteen New York towns are looking to do something about the exodus by seceding from New York and joining Pennsylvania

When someone actually wants to become a Pennsyltuckian you know things are really bad!

The Republican State Senate should attach a pro-fracking amendment to some must-pass, must-sign legislation and see if Baby Andrew vetoes it.
