Has Marie Harf just dug the hole she's in a little deeper? Morning Joe invited the State Department spox on today to give her a chance to clarify what she said to Chris Matthews about the US being unable to "kill our way" out of the ISIS problem and the need to focus on the "root causes" of terrorism.
After brushing off the suggestion by General Michael Hayden that she'd like a "mulligan" on those remarks, Harf attempted to distract from the focus on Islamic terrorism. Discussing this week's White House summit on "extremism," Harf cited the Lord's Resistance Army led by Ugandan Joseph Kony. Huffed Harf: "I don't remember people talking about that as much anymore, but that's a Christian militant group."

There’s that old moral equivalence nonsense.
Charles Manson broke the law.
You drove 5 mph over the speed limit, so you broke the law.
Therefore, you are both lawbreakers.
Latest dispatch from Obama’s Department of Terrible Deeds in the Name of Christ. Ping to Today show list.
Marie’s prescription for international peace:
“Jobs, jobs, jobs!”
—paid for by the ever-shrinking portion of the American populace that actually pays net taxes
These people are depraved. Only Barky and Valerie Jarrett would put their minions up to this.
This woman is unqualified to be employed by the State Department. At least in a sane world. In Obama’s world, she fits right in. This moral equalivalence argument falls on two important points.
1. The world of Christianity all denounce Kona. He is a renegade and outlaw.
2. Most importantly, he is no threat to U.S. national security. ISIS, Taliban and Al Quada are all existential threats to our national security.
The politics of distraction.
She looks every bit the mindless twit.
Guess which group she is the most outraged by?
Pray America is waking
The stupidity is strong in that one.
In May 2010, U.S. President Barack Obama signed into law the Lord's Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act,legislation aimed at stopping Kony and the LRA. The bill passed unanimously in the United States Senate on 11 March.
On 12 May 2010, a motion to suspend the rules and pass the bill was agreed to by voice vote (two-thirds being in the affirmative) in the House of Representatives.
In November 2010, President Obama delivered a strategy document to Congress, asking for more funding to disarm Kony and the LRA.
In October 2011, President Obama authorized the deployment of approximately 100 combat-equipped U.S. troops to central Africa. Their goal is to help regional forces remove Kony and senior LRA leaders from the battlefield. "Although the U.S. forces are combat-equipped, they will only be providing information, advice, and assistance to partner nation forces, and they will not themselves engage LRA forces unless necessary for self-defense," President Obama said in a letter to Congress.
On 3 April 2013, the Obama administration offered rewards of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest, transfer or conviction of Kony, Ongwen and Odhiambo.
On 24 March 2014 the United States announced they would deploy at least four CV-22 Ospreys and refuelling planes, and 150 Air Force special forces personnel to assist in the capture of Kony.
So Obama's done more to stop Kony than ISIS. Thanks for the info, Marie!
The more gospel concentrated a group gets, the more peaceful it gets.
Because of course the fashion today is to beat up on anything having to do with Christianity.
Did Uganda even ask for this? Maybe it thinks it can deal with its wild hairs itself?
Marie is determined to show that the US State Dept has a "Heart of Gold."
So Marie is gift-wrapping monogrammed Zippo lighters to send to the Islamic State.
Marie is attaching State Dept happy-face gift tags to each one.
Dont forget Samuel Mullet, leader of an Amish crime syndicate. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for organizing an attack in which several people were given haircuts. 15 years! You get less for homicide.
It’s not really, at its heart, even a moral equivalence argument.
The left are inherently anti-Christian. They excuse Islam because it is anti-Christian.
Trying to paint Christians with the same “moral equivalence” is laughable, yes, but it is just an aspect of the deeper agenda.
You know she picked those “smart glasses” to try to “break up” the “brainless blond twit” look.
Every time I see her face I think of Hilary Clinton from about 45 years ago. I just know this one will age the same way, the poison on the inside will eventually work it’s way to the outside.
