MILWAUKEE Scott Walker was gone. Dropped out. And in the spring of his senior year.
In 1990, that news stunned his friends at Marquette University. Walker, the campuss suit-wearing, Reagan-loving politico who enjoyed the place so much that he had run for student body president had left without graduating.

I am very good friends, for more than 25 years, with a man who is brilliant enough to have held some high-paying jobs in the six figure range over the years, in extremely high-tech industries involving aviation as well as nuclear energy.
His formal education ends at his high school diploma. He never went to college. Companies that won't hire him because of his lack of college degree, lose out to the smarter companies that hire him; they understand the inflated "value" of college diplomas and the real value of actual accomplishments.
“I don’t insist that my President be an Ivy Leaguer.”
An Ivy League indoctrination is a negative to me based on the performance of Ivy League educated presidents in the past few decades.
It's all trying to make something out of nothing. That fact that the lefties are seizing upon this means that they got nothin’, and are view Walker as an actual threat to their hegemony.
Here we go, we all expected this and it will get much worse.
The complaint is that he left the moron factory before he could be fully indoctrinated with left-wing dogma, and thus is unqualified to be President.
Agreed. Walker has been through the fire, everything has have since pre-school has been oppo’ed by now. They got nothing on him, so this is the best they can do.
And Walker has been through enough to be veeerrry careful when talking to the press. They won’t be able to ‘gotcha’ him on anything. He’s too experienced in dealing with it.
And he’s a governor, and he’s not Jeb Bush :-), so he’s our best shot to thread the very tight Electoral College needle in 2016.
I would add that it doesn’t matter to US that he doesn’t have a college degree but it matters to a whole bunch of people. Someone said he was working on completing - I hope so - online classes are readily available now.
Personally, seeing someone who is successful and driven is far more important but there are those other people and we need their votes too.
Or how he obtained his SS number.
I agree that college degrees are particularly important
to lefties. However, I have a feeling that if there was
an accomplished Dem’Rat governor with ambition, the liberal
establishment would sing his/her praises whether or not
they had a diploma. To them the rules of propriety only
apply to their opponents.
Hmmm, well I didn’t graduate either. I had to go back home to take care of a sick parent. Darn! Guess my chances of being president just went to nil!
Steve Jobs-founder of Apple, Larry Ellison-founder of Oracle and the list goes on and on and on...
And trotting out a bunch of women standing next to Gloria Allred at the microphone.
Getting a college degree in the post-FDR era, particularly a degree from the liberal-controlled, ivy league colleges in particular, just means that you have no respect for federal governments constitutionally limited power anyway imo.
Walter Cronkite’s lack of a college degree never prevented liberals from idolizing him as a fountain of wisdom. They never found it “troubling.” The media are bullies.
Only if there is money in it for her.
I’m sure the Dems will pay her well.
Badge of honor and display of good sense. Help support my family or spend more money and time securing a piece of paper issued by a self important priesthood most of the members of which can’t change a tire. But yes, now that we’re on the subject let’s have those Columbia and Harvard Law records released.
So I'd like to answer Mr. Fahrenthold with a question: where the hell were you when 0bama's campaign was hiding his transcripts and continue to? Or perhaps another question: who in the DNC is telling you what to write?
This is weak beyond description, quite on a par with the Cruz beer-in-the-trunk-during-high-school "scandal". It does remind us, however, that the media are active agents of the Democrat party and will stoop even to this level of embarrassment in order to impede potential Republican candidates.
We are told, incidentally, that in a certain political science class, a friend of Walker's reports that he looked bored. Can the Union survive?
Good point.
So is his real birth certificate (if he even has one)......
