NBC News' Brian Williams admits he wasn't on aircraft in Iraq (Barf alert)

NBC News’ Brian Williams was not, as he has previously claimed, aboard a U.S. Air Force helicopter that was hit by two rockets and grounded during the 2003 Iraq invasion.

In what was surely a moment of vindication for those who were actually aboard the grounded aircraft, the Nightly News anchor admitted Wednesday that the harrowing story he and NBC had been perpetuating since 2003 was false.

“I would not have chosen to make this mistake,” Williams told the military publication Stars and Stripes, Wednesday. “I don’t know what screwed up in my mind that caused me to conflate one aircraft with another.”

Maybe “worked” was the wrong word. It was “used by” our illustrious ex-Sec of State to bolster herself. That’s what Brian did.

It was “fake but true” in the same way, just as Rather’s documents about GWB were fake but true. So, Brian should slink off and go away.

It’s funny, in that if he had said something true like, “I was in a group of 3 helicopters, and one of the others came under fire. It was eye-opening and frightening” he would have been fine.

While on jury duty the judge instructed us that when we saw a key witness statement proven to be a lie we were obligated to assume that everything he said was a lie.

Brian Williams' character applies in this case. He has been lying to his viewers on every major topic in order to push his liberal garbage and influence low information voters.

That story had me laughing when it first came out.

One does not "dodge" sniper fire. If a sniper has a bead on you...you are dead. If she did any dodging fire at all...which she didn't...it was fire from sappers or some other type of set up.

She probably heard a rifle report form a long way off as she exited the aircraft and thought, "Hmmm....I could use that. It would make a great story."

Hillary also told a dramatic whopper of a story about racing her limousine through the streets of Moscow like Matt Damon in a Bourne movie as she evaded Russian KGB in a mad dash to catch Air Force 1 before it took off.

I've been searching for that and it seems to erased from the web along with her story about Chelsea having coffee at Starbucks across from the WTC on 9/11 and barely escaping death.
