Bushs, Cristies, Rubios and Romneys need not apply.
it’s notoriously treacherous ground to factor into our thinking what someone thinks our enemies think
Yep, our Wisconsin royal flush missing an Ace.
I am not in favor either. However, even small businesses should be expected to verify that someone has a legal right to work in this country.
It’s a burning question if he’s serious about running for President.
that is true, and that ain’t happening...it cannot happen.
why? why is it their problem? why should they exist in peril of criminal fines if they do the central government’s work incorrectly — especially since you are basically insisting that private citizens do the central government’s work because the central government has failed at it.
but what you want is never going to happen. It’s a legal impossibility, it’s a logistical impossibility, it’s a law enforcement impossibility - and most Americans do not want it..... you’re free to hold out for a delusion that is not possible if you want to.....
BTW, this is not a happy reality, but it is reality.
Damn, I thought I was the only one in the country to see this.....this situation is a damned government problem - businesses didn’t cause it - they couldn’t cause it....and they can’t solve it.
With all due respect, how is it any sort of impossibility to start deporting illegal aliens one by one?
I agree that it is an impossibility to deport them all at once.
You would pretty much need a mass teleport device, which does not exist.
But to start sending them home one by one is exactly what needs to be done, and it is exactly how it needs to be done.
And if that is an impossibility of any sort, America is done.
No I was not at all.
Saying it can’t be done instantly is the cop out of those who don’t want to do it at all, even the correct way, which is one by one.
if a politician is not for deporting them, then that politician is for giving them amnesty, and that is really all there is to it.
Step #1: Announce your opposition to amnesty (check)
Step #2: Get elected
Step #3: Take a few pages out of Reagan's playbook.
Sad but true. People run amok around here as primary time approaches.
By government I presume you mean the Federal Government, ICE, in particular. So the central government fails at its task. Should state and local governments check on whether or not someone applying for section 8 housing, public education, and the various types of assistance is eligible to be in the US or not?
I’d be down with a Walker candidacy.
I’m telling you, they sprung it on Scott that he was going to be POTUS Monday. Hence the frantic issuances of his new-found foreign and domestic policy today.
people are pounding the meaning right out of the word “amnesty”. it has happened in this very thread. it seems to mean whatever the most hysterical among us want it to mean.
no one can satisfy such a requirement. not walker, not perry, and not ted cruz. it’s simply impossible. if we’re going to make it an absolute requirement, and we are, then we need to define it clearly and apply it consistently.
Listen you TEA PARTY LOSERS:
Walker DOES NOT FAVOR AMNESTY! NEVER HAS, NEVER WILL.
Walker, like most reasonable people, does favor a “path to citizenship” for those who came here without full documentation. But that’s not the same as Amnesty, as there’s a $10 processing fee to become a citizen and thus punishment will be had.
SO STOP MISREPRESENTING HIM!
