Protesters invoking Michael Brown and Ferguson burst into an auditorium at Harris-Stowe State University early Monday afternoon and briefly shut down a Martin Luther King Day celebration.
The protesters and Harris-Stowe students later confronted one another outside the venue, as police converged on the area.
Shortly before 1 p.m., as the King observance was in progress in the crowded auditorium, about two-dozen protesters came in waving an upside-down American flag and chanting "No Justice, No Peace."
They took the stage, and as the crowd began filing out angrily, they used a microphone to accuse the university and the clergy who were in attendance of being part of the "establishment."
Protesters left the stage and left the building after Brown's mother, Lesley McSpadden, appealed for calm. But later, the protesters and Harris-Stowe students confronted each other about the disrupted event.
"They came in here (being) so very disrespectful, said Harris-Stowe freshman Shaquell Humphries, 18. "There are old folks and little kids in that auditorium and they (the protesters) started cussing.
The King ceremony later resumed.

What a CONTRAST they are to that of Dr. Martin Luther King.
The left, Soros and bozo always over play their hand. This is because they get the uninformed , the fanatics the thugs, and ignorant out to protest and then give them freebies etc.
Once the jack boots have had a taste of this they then get more excited over the next demo and then over play their hand.
We have seen this in their DC protest, their occupy movement, the shootings, and now in places like Boston where they shut down highways wen people want to get to work
You know I never believed in there were black colleges until I got to a boxing fight for my son and it was held at a all male black college.
The racism we encountered there was disgusting. They would not serve my wife, we had them shouting kill the white boy when he got in the ring, doors were slammed in our faces countless times, and the ignorance displayed even stunned me.
My kids asked why is there a black college and not white ones.
No imagine having the all white male college, all white Miss America, white all entertainment channel, white bike week etc.
To them, he’s probably just someone they named a street after.
were he a B Ball Player back in the Day??
“If MLK were alive today would he be of a like mind with these thug-loving cretins?”
In all likelihood, he would at least be highly sympathetic. The only reason things like this didn’t happen in MLK’s day was that Liberal demwits hadn’t yet made the atmosphere conducive. Spectacles such as we see today took some stage setting that hadn’t been done yet. My opinion is that if MLK was alive today he would be holding hands and marching with the other “Reverends”.
Gotta love it when the whiners reveal how full of hot air they are and show how much they view others as simply a means to an end.
I think you are probably right....always in the background and ready to use these emotional moments is this
Maybe this type of behavior will start to wake those on the left up a bit about how hateful these commies really are?
The racism you experienced was very unfortunate and must have been frightening. However, it is no doubt a direct result of bitter memories of all white male colleges, all white Miss America, all white drinking fountains, all white rest rooms, all white dressing rooms in stores, all white voting, etc., and the short memories of those who have forgotten those times.
