The independent Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi, or CCB, has been doing its own investigation and working behind the scenes for the past year and a half to make sure Congress does the job the executive branch has failed to do: namely, to get to the truth of what happened and to hold people accountable.
A major step forward took place last May when Speaker of the House John Boehner, R-Ohio, announced the creation of a House Select Committee to investigate after about 190 House Republicans, under the leadership of then-Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., co-sponsored legislation for just such action.
The CCB’s members include former military commanders and Special Forces operatives; former CIA and intelligence officers; well-known experts in international terrorism; and experts in media and government affairs.
In exclusive interviews conducted with 11 of the 17 members of the commission, it is clear that while the CCB is still enthusiastic to work with Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, and hopeful that Boehner is serious about the investigation, various members of the CCB, speaking on their own behalf and not as spokesmen for the commission, are expressing concerns, wanting to make sure the Gowdy investigation is not compromised by elements within the GOP.

I’m not totally down on Gowdy, but I’ve been wondering ‘Wha hoppened?’ to the investigation the past several months. Then, he supported Boehner for Speaker, although he didn’t actually vote.
Whether or not he’s being warned away, it’s disappointing, if not exactly unexpected, that we’ve had the football yanked away at the last minute -— again.

MILITARY.COM reported (during the post-Morsi ousting in Egypt), that US Pentagon officials declined to give specifics on conversations between DOD's Chuck Hagel and brilliant tactician Egyptian Gen al-Sisi (now Egypt's president).
(NOTE Gen al Sisi, 58, received a masters degree from the U.S. War College in Carlisle, Pa, in 2006. The General is revered by Egyptians for routing the Muslim Brotherhood which Egyptians consider a terrorist organization.)
Although officials would not discuss the specifics of the military-to-military talks, the US would have needed Gen al-Sisi's approval to move through Egyptian air space if Washington decided to send Marines to aid in the evacuation of U.S. personnel in the post-Morsi chaos.
READY TO ROLL About 550 Marines and their tilt-rotor MV-22 Osprey aircraft are at bases in Spain and Italy on standby if they are needed. A Navy Amphibious Ready Group with 4,000 Marines and sailors aboard, led by the helicopter assault ship Kearsarge, was also in the region following completion of the Eager Lion training exercises in Jordan.

It should be noted that while Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood were in charge in Egypt, Obama and Hillary showered them with praise and provided billions of dollars in aid, arms, tanks and planes.
Egypt has unceremoniously thrown the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics.... and hasn’t forgotten the support offered to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egypt has now charged Obama and Hillary Clinton for conspiring and collaborating with the M/B and advancing their terrorist activities.
Gen al-Sisi also holds the key to the murders in Benghazi........the Benghazi secrets Obama and Hillary will not divulge. B/c right now, sitting in an Egyptian jail is a man al-Sisi arrested for inciting terrorism. That man is Gehad al Hadad....once employed by the tax-exempt Clinton Foundation.

As far as I know, Egypt does not have any limitations on obtaining information from terrorists---like prohibiting waterboarding, etc.

Why? The only reason I can think of: The GOPe believe that it is a foregone conclusion that Hillary will be elected and they fear retaliation from her and her minions.

Gowdy has me a bit disappointed. With his lack of aggressiveness on this and his vote for Boehner, I suspect he’s getting sucked in like all the rest.
I had such high hopes for him.
No warnings or threats, other than the threat of the 2014 elections...of course, that’s all over and the R’s won, so it’s just time to put the screws to all the idiot Republican voters that actually thought there would be some sort of massive shift of the party to the right. Lol. Boy were we lied to! Wonder how many will, like an abused woman, run back to the GOP in 2016?
They're out of excuses. They're not even the "lesser of two evils" because they betrayed their promises to voters. The dems give us what they promised.

Gowdy has a wife and children. He’s a brave man and seems to care little for his personal safety, but few of us can risk the lives of the innocents we love. And with this administration, you know they won’t hesitate to make a house fire happen.
