A New Jersey woman who authorities say put her newborn baby in the middle of a road and set the child on fire was charged Saturday with murder.
Burlington County prosecutors said Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier, 22, of Pemberton Township was jailed on $500,000 bail. It wasn't known if she has retained a lawyer.
Police responded to a Friday night call about a fire in the middle of a residential road in the township, about 30 miles east of Philadelphia. Officers found the baby in flames and put out the fire.
The child reportedly was alive and breathing at the time she was flown to a hospital in Philadelphia, said Joel Bewley, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office. She died about two hours later, he said in a news release. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Authorities believe the mother doused her baby with an accelerant then set her on fire, Bewley said. They do not have a motive. The woman was taken into custody Friday night.

Despite her bizarre name, I think this had nothing to do with her being one of Obama’s daughters. She probably had some kind of extreme postpartum depression or psychosis brought on by hormonal changes.
It was a hideous thing to do, but it was so hideous that I can’t imagine that even Kernieeshawn or whatever her name was would do it if she had been in her right mind.

No, mothers threw them in the garbage or the toilet before Obama came into office. When I was living in New Jersey in 1996. A girl sent a baby to her boyfriend who dealt fatal brain damage and then threw the baby, packed in a brown paper bag, into a dumpster. They could have put it up in the hospital for safe haven policy if they wanted to, rather than kill it.

An impossible fact to hide with a name like "Hyphernkemberly". I'm not making light of anything either... saddling a child with an awful name like that is downright mean.
That name is atypical. Given the French surname I wonder if she’s Haitian.

That being said, I wake up every day and wonder whether or not God could have just possibly made a mistake bringing human beings into existence. I expect that judgment day is right around the corner for us, and there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth in store for many of us...

IIRC, we also had the two teens (from upstanding families) here in NJ that killed their baby. Some people publicly advocated completely giving them a pass on it - that was frightening.
