A key senator said Sunday she believes there are terrorist sleeper cells in the U.S. that could carry out attacks similar to the ones in France that left 17 people dead last week.
Sen Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat and vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, did not comment on specific threats against America but said other attacks are possible.

I was thinking more about lone wolf or duets of armed confederate thinkers, who wanted to break into meetings. Not thinking ‘coup’, thats more military styled takeovers.

She’s a piece of something else, too.
For more than 13 years, one or the other side has been trying to scare us. Either the govt is enormously effective, or they have been lying, or the terrorists are not capable or willing to pull off major attacks in the US. Of course, I do not know how long it took to prepare for the 9/11 attack, but surely it was not 13 years.

The Israelis have installed robot gun turrets along their border with Lebanon to deal with incoming terrorists.
These are remotely operated, exclusively by IDF girl soldiers. For the same reason you mentioned.
They are completely capable. The issue is that they are following traditional Muslim warfare and waiting to grow strong enough to make it count. If they 911 it again, they risk actual blowback and they know it. So they lie low and let libs push ‘lone wolf theory’ until they can’t anymore.
My understanding is that those who carried a bowie or revolver did so because they were concerned about other congressmen, not intruders.

Personally, I can’t think of much that would prevent a Charlie Hebdo style attack here.
She’s an example of a basically good person being completely manipulated.
She was actually one of the more conservative Supervisors (that would be like city councilmen) in SF and was the first woman to hold the position of president. After the killing of supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor Moscone, she held the position of mayor. Then she moved on to national politics.
Once she got into the national sphere, things seemed to go downhill, although she did support Bush on many things related to terrorism. She’s pretty elderly now, so who knows what she thinks.
That is great news.
The change seems to have been influenced by her real estate husband she married in the 1980s.
