Reuters) - Billionaire financier George Soros has urged the West to step up aid to Ukraine, outlining steps towards a $50 billion (33.22 billion pounds) financing package that he said should be viewed as a bulwark against an increasingly aggressive Russia.

Writing in the New York Review of Books, Soros said Europe and the United States needed to balance sanctions imposed on Russia with large-scale assistance to near-bankrupt Ukraine, which risks defaulting on debt as a result of turmoil caused by pro-Russia separatist fighting.

Why doesn’t Soros give any of his own money?

But, that is hard-earned money he legally stole from the Bank of England and other national banks, probably including in the US.

Its called "leverage." He doesn't have an army, so he gives money to US pressure and media groups. They in turn influence US policy to use its power towards ends that match his ideology.

He’s been heavily invested in Ukraine for years. Hope he loses his shirt.

If only Soros could have an epiphany or just wake up one day and start doing good instead of so much evil. If only -—

Ukraine wanted to be part of the EU. Let the EU bail it out.

If Soros could get the US, Canada, and the EU to fund the complete destabilization of Ukraine, he’ll be able to buy anything of value there really cheap.

Doesn't the Ukraine have an arrest warrant still in force for Soros?

Now it all makes sense.

Oddly enough, that's just the value of Ukrainian bonds Soros holds.
So, the US/EU give Ukraine $50 billion, Ukraine gives Soros $50 billion, and Soros along with the media go wild telling everyone about the miracle of Ukraine reducing their debt.

Cute.

“How do you think all of this started?”

It all started by Russia invading a sovereign nation.
Again.

Russians hate the truth.
