A California father was arrested after throwing a party for his daughter’s 18th birthday over the weekend. The theme: “Liv’s Playboy Mansion.”
San Diego County sheriff’s deputies told 10 News that 150 to 200 teens were in attendance Olivia Lake’s birthday party. Many were drinking alcohol and some girls were dressed in lingerie and wearing bunny ears.
Complaints from neighbors led sheriff’s deputies to shut the party down, and Olivia’s father Jeff Lake was arrested and charged with violating the social host ordinance in Poway, Calif. According to 10 News, that ordinance makes it illegal to host a party where underage individuals consume alcohol. It comes with a possible six month jail sentence.

Correct. KFI reported on this story this morning -- the birthday girl was 18, but many of her friends were still 17 or younger. (But I thought the drinking age in California was still 21, so even the birthday girl was illegally drinking, no matter if it were at her parents' house.)

We aren't responsible for the crazy hi-jinks of our states, unless we moved into those states to further exacerbate their salacious reputations.

Are you saying throwing a Playboy themed party for an 18 year old is helping corrupting morals swirling around the toilet bowl to the cesspool? Jeez, live life...I didn't know we had to be serious as parents.
Sure... it is your right... but I have the right to drink.
Granted, I didn’t read the article, but when I read it... too many kids were there. The parents should have said you can have 15 to 20 kids. I guess the parents are the so called buddy parents. What I mean is parents who want to be friends with their kids.
Unfortunately we have some FReepers who are so stupid
that they can’t grasp that the problem is liberals no matter
where they call home. They just have to put a California
address with their rants. It is as if the liberals in their
own midst never do dumb stuff.
