A California father was arrested after throwing a party for his daughters 18th birthday over the weekend. The theme: Livs Playboy Mansion.
San Diego County sheriffs deputies told 10 News that 150 to 200 teens were in attendance Olivia Lakes birthday party. Many were drinking alcohol and some girls were dressed in lingerie and wearing bunny ears.
Complaints from neighbors led sheriffs deputies to shut the party down, and Olivias father Jeff Lake was arrested and charged with violating the social host ordinance in Poway, Calif. According to 10 News, that ordinance makes it illegal to host a party where underage individuals consume alcohol. It comes with a possible six month jail sentence.

I think the dad is a jerk and should.be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Problem is, dad’s a lawyer who IIRC just barely missed out on a being a judge recently. Me thinks he may have the connections to wiggle out. But yeah I concur, he is a pizza chit for contributing to the delinquency.
As Chris Rock would say, “your number one job as a Dad is to keep your daughter away from the pole”
“A California father “
Well, that explains it.
California, the land of fruits and nuts.
Bet the guy sees nothing wrong with it at all.
Where’s Mom?
the title says the girl was 18. The only question is why wasn’t I invited.
what? no guilty / not guilty pics of the 18 yr old daughter? (preferably in bunny ears)
Another interference of the nanny state, IMHO.
She may have been 18 but I would guess a lot of her friends were not, and the drinking age is 21 anyway. While this might be my dream party to attend when I was 18, that’s exactly why I would never throw it now that I’m 55.
The father is a Pedophile.
Encouraging drinking and acting like a playboy bunny slut at age 18 is ok as long as it’s at home and only the dad’s friends are invited to watch the fun? How long do you think that behavior is going to STAY at home?
Why do you think the current culture is swirling the toilet bowl on the way to the cesspool with all the other filth?
Where do Liberaltarians fall on this?
How about not drink at all?
“I’d rather have my kids drink at home than in a treehouse.”
Problem is there were many kids there that were not at home, some even so drunk they were passed out.....not good.
It's one thing to serve alcohol to your own underage children in your home (which is legal in some states, including mine), but quite another to serve alcohol to other parents’ underage children, which is what this guy allegedly did.
Lock step, babies should be fed White Russians.
The link is to a Chicago news site. What is San Diego’s view on this? Crickets....
Having three daughters (though their ages all hover around 30 now), I share your sentiment. One of the problems with our culture is that even Christian conservatives are falling into a subtle, and almost unconscious “anything goes” acceptance of bad behavior by others, forgetting that we are all in this together.
You can forgive the man, but the activity must be called out as what it is - even if YOU are the man doing it. This party is despicable (Even if his daughter and all their friends were of drinking age) and must not be tolerated as “morally ok”.
My youngest daughter, when she was a senior in high school, had a sleepover with about 15 of her friends. There was so much young female flesh - not related to me - running around in ridiculously skimpy “nighties” that I had to excuse myself from my own house and get away from the whole thing.
And yet this dad intentionally brought it on. That’s just weird.
