I believe it is funny...I have relatives in Italy, Germany and Denmark and underage drinking is no big deal. I'd rather have my kids drink at home than in a treehouse.

Another interference of the nanny state, IMHO.

Encouraging drinking and acting like a playboy bunny slut at age 18 is ok as long as it’s at home and only the dad’s friends are invited to watch the fun? How long do you think that behavior is going to STAY at home?

Why do you think the current culture is swirling the toilet bowl on the way to the cesspool with all the other filth?

“I’d rather have my kids drink at home than in a treehouse.”

Problem is there were many kids there that were not at home, some even so drunk they were passed out.....not good.

It's one thing to serve alcohol to your own underage children in your home (which is legal in some states, including mine), but quite another to serve alcohol to other parents’ underage children, which is what this guy allegedly did.

Your kids drinking in your home is one thing. Passing out drinks to unrelated minors is another thing. Your home is not a bar and you don’t have a liquor license.

There is no way 150-200 drinking teens at a party is "drinking at home". That many teens or adults at a party obviously will spill over into the neighborhood and intrude on the neighbors peace a quiet. 15-20 teens, maybe not. But 150-200, definitely a problem. What this guy did seems way over the top and should get him some deserved jail time.

This "father" is a FINO. Father In Name Only. What was he thinking? And where is the mother in all of this debauchery? When my daughter turned 18, we had family and several of her friends over for cake and ice cream. It didn't turn into a public nuisance.

I lived in Spain for three years. Underage drinking was accepted, but it was wine at meals. Reason? The water was so bad that they didn't drink water like we do here. Wild, drunken parties with 150-200 teens would not have been condoned. Only in California. There is no comparison.
