A California father was arrested after throwing a party for his daughters 18th birthday over the weekend. The theme: Livs Playboy Mansion.
San Diego County sheriffs deputies told 10 News that 150 to 200 teens were in attendance Olivia Lakes birthday party. Many were drinking alcohol and some girls were dressed in lingerie and wearing bunny ears.
Complaints from neighbors led sheriffs deputies to shut the party down, and Olivias father Jeff Lake was arrested and charged with violating the social host ordinance in Poway, Calif. According to 10 News, that ordinance makes it illegal to host a party where underage individuals consume alcohol. It comes with a possible six month jail sentence.

So all Republicans are fat bald selfish corporate executives who hate poor people? And gun owners are wild eyed mentally unstable Vietnam vets who wear camo to church? And Christians are crazy cultists who want to kill gays? Freepers are not-too-bright shut-ins who sit around all day browsing the internet in their pajamas re-posting things that other people tell them? All except for you of course, you are happy to admit that you are "the exception."
38 million people live in California. A small number of kooks and weirdos make the national news every year. They are the exception, my family is the rule.
This "father" is a FINO. Father In Name Only. What was he thinking? And where is the mother in all of this debauchery? When my daughter turned 18, we had family and several of her friends over for cake and ice cream. It didn't turn into a public nuisance.
I lived in Spain for three years. Underage drinking was accepted, but it was wine at meals. Reason? The water was so bad that they didn't drink water like we do here. Wild, drunken parties with 150-200 teens would not have been condoned. Only in California. There is no comparison.
Misleading headline. The arrest had nothing to do with a "playboy" party; the arrest was for throwing a party in which alcohol was served to underage drinkers.
Well there’s your problem. Its Mom.
If an 18 year old is considered adult enough to vote or go to war they should be allowed to consume alcohol.
The 150 to 200 other teens were not at home. And I’m betting a good portion of their parents would be horrified at what the “dad” did. Pretty transparent, if you ask me. Some dad in my neighborhood used my daughter for a drinking and “playboy” party would be in pretty big trouble.
Florida.
'nuff said...
Florida, case in point.
Then change the law. In a sane world, we don’t make rules up on the fly.
It appears there were PEOPLE under 18 also drinking. Since they aren’t of military age, maybe you’ll see the wisdom in arresting dad for their delinquency.
“My youngest daughter, when she was a senior in high school, had a sleepover with about 15 of her friends. There was so much young female flesh - not related to me - running around in ridiculously skimpy nighties that I had to excuse myself from my own house and get away from the whole thing.”
You did that wrong. You invite all your friends over, the older the better. And they stare as much as possible.
They’ll cover up quickly.
Apparently this is the birthday girl:

Anyone that wants to see little girls in lingerie only needs to pick up the latest Victoria Secret catalog.
He should definitely be charged.
And they stare as much as possible.
Theyll cover up quickly.
One of the frustrating things for me is that I feel that too many today are denying our sexuality. It’s an odd form of PC.
Poway says,,
Ho
Ho
Hum.
I teach Sr High Sunday School. I always tell the girls “When you dress scantily to impress the teen boys, you are also impressing the old men”.
Ewww....Ewwww.....
Did dad come up with this, or just went along with the daughter?

She looks like a shy little thing.
Next time invite the neighbors.
Parents should not be “friends.”
Just an example of life in post Christian, neo pagan decadent America.
