WATERTOWN, N.Y. Elise Stefanik, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, has never held elected office, but her résumé looks more like that of a Beltway insider than a political newcomer.
By the time she won her seat representing a swath of upstate New York in the November election, she had served as a domestic policy aide for former President George W. Bush , a policy director for former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty s 2012 presidential campaign and head of debate preparation for vice-presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan .

Another FReeper who would prefer a raving Commie to a RINO in a district that typically goes Dem by 70%.
Thank you for the corrective info. In my prejudices, upstate NY was largely inhabited by English-speaking Americans, so I naturally assumed good old Watertown was a Republican area.
In cased y'all missed it, Joey Plugs kicked Ryan's ass in a most embarrassing manner. Ryan's debate prep chief should have been marooned on the smallest of the Thousand Islands, not rewarded with a seat in Congress!
Ryan is all sound bites. He has no substance outside of a quasi-liberal viewpoint.
Looks like they transitioned from consistent R to consistent D around 1910. Jake Javits and Ham Fish (not making this one up) were RINOs that snuck in there since.
You’re reacting like this to a headline? To a reporter’s interpretation of her interview with a Congressman-elect?
Yeah let’s rip her apart because of 1 headline for 1 article that’s behind a paywall. Surely she’s the next Susan Collins.
I don’t like her name.
Elise, always reminds me of a certain cow...
“..will not state her positions. ..”
Guess you never read her website. If she did 80% of what she said she would do, I’d be pretty happy.
Also, I read from a pro-life group that she has PASSION for the life issue. We sure need more politicians like that, instead of so many milk-toast “pro-lifers.”
“..because of 1 headline ..”
From the WSJ, which is pro-amnesty. Elise is not.
What’s in the middle of the road? Yellow stripes and road kill.
