Its not a slowdown its a virtual work stoppage.
NYPD traffic tickets and summonses for minor offenses have dropped off by a staggering 94 percent following the execution of two cops as officers feel betrayed by the mayor and fear for their safety, The Post has learned.
The dramatic drop comes as Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Mayor de Blasio plan to hold an emergency summit on Tuesday with the heads of the five police unions to try to close the widening rift between cops and the administration.
The unprecedented meeting is being held at the new Police Academy in Queens at 2 p.m., sources said.
Angry union leaders have ordered drastic measures for their members since the Dec. 20 assassination of two NYPD cops in a patrol car, including that two units respond to every call.

The whole “industry” will be impacted.
Yes, we have those too.
I'm gonna laugh my butt off if said protesters get their butts kicked by party goers and turn around to call "911!!". Oooooh the irony that would be.
Yup...city revenues are way down and low and behold jay-walking tickets are way, WAY up along with citations for walking a dog without a leash, disorderly conduct (very broad to say the least), etc...etc.. The cities fleece the citizens (read harass) to make up the revenue.
The original cause of all of the problems with law enforcement methods, cops, etc. is black-on-everybody crime.
The violent black male. All stems from that fact.
Blacks in America commit murder at more than seven (7) times the rate, of whites. Per published statistics of the US Department of Justice.
“...NYC is an amazing city...”
Great post and I second it wholeheartedly. I do not live in NYC, but occasionally visit and NYC is a treasure that will be tragically lost if the liberals ruin the gains made by Guiliani.
I travel a lot to Manhattan on business and what gets me is the amount of garbage that stacks up curbside. Piles of it. The stench of it really has turned me off to the city.
As far as crime goes, the only I have experienced is having a cell phone and coat stolen outside of Grand Central Station. That was years ago.
An army of Eric Garners are now out on the streets panhandling. This is what some here who were complaining about the Garner arrest wanted.
Now NYC has panhandlers again hassling people.
Pathetic.
You obviously haven’t been mugged yet.
I’ve been mugged...in Boston.
The one upside of the NYPD slowdown is that at least for the time being law abiding NYC citizens are once again free to exercise their Second Amendment rights without fear of harassment or intimidation by their city government.
Lol...what’s a membership cost there?
Yes, they will make up the difference by pushing hard on the people with licenses, inspections, and fees.
For example, annual fees to operate food carts in the best locations top out at close to $300K. Bad locations are over $10K.
Just about everything you do in the city has a fee attached.
They will be going up and enforced with fascist efficiency.
There is something wrong with a culture that depends on crime to generate revenue!!!
Yup, stop arresting Holder's people... I'd wager that's pretty close to 66%. Translation: Don't look like you may have committed a crime in NYC if you're white, because cops who have supposedly almost stopped working will jump to slap the cuffs on you for it.
Yeah, but just can’t wait to see de Blasio try to spin this a few months down the road as a massive drop in crime under his administration! The numbers will “prove” it!
I saw just sit back and watch the black thugocracy eliminate themselves and then go back to work when everything gets back to some kind of normalcy.
FIXED IT!
