If former Alaska Gov. and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin enters the 2016 presidential election, she will face stiff competition from a wide field of qualified Republican candidates. However, she may face greater challenges from her numerous detractors, especially those in the liberal media whose vitriol towards Palin knows no bounds.

Nonsense.

As Governor, Sarah was not protected as are Washington politicians from lawsuits and charges while engaged in her duties.

The endless lawsuits and annoyance legal entanglements were an effective hindrance to her completing her term. You also could be compelled to remove yourself from your own job under such circumstances.

Palin scares the liberals unlike any other politician who comes to my mind.

Why would a FReeper perpetuate such a lefty talking point? You might consider reassessing that opinion.

Sarah Palin is absolutely awesome and she scares them unlike any other politician in my lifetime. They have been demonizing her since she the day she came into national prominence.

A Bookmark and Cautionary Ping to Sarah's List!

While I would love nothing better to see Sarah or any True Conservative in the White House, simply having them there will not Magically fix our Problems.

And IF they can, by the sheer force of their wills alone, than we have become truly lost, if all we need is a Fearless Leader to lurch the country in whatever why they want us to go.

As in my Last Ping, I feel my tagline offers the best advice.

Build the America you want to live in at your address, and keep looking up.- Sarah Palin

It is the only way.

(P.S. These types of threads bring out lots of Haters, Don't want to ruin your day, so this is a counsel ping before any of her awesome list come here without back-up)

I couldn’t vote for someone who couldn’t finish out her term as Governor.

With the law in Alaska forcing Palin to pay for her own leagal defense against law suits brought regarding her official acts as Governor, she could not afford to stay in office. I believe Mrs. Palin or any other conservative would be better off without your vote. You don't seem competent to cast one.

You know full well why she couldn’t finish her term as governor is pure BS! You also know full well that she is exactly who we need to turn this country around.

If we elect someone like Sarah, I hope that would indicate that there are enough people who understand that pink fluffy unicorns don’t grow on trees, and are willing to work to restore the elements that made our country great: individual morality, public decency, limited government, rule of law ... work, family, community.

Sounds like a ‘do not run’ preemptive shot across the bow from Alana Marie Burke, whoever she is.

==

I think Palin allowed her political electiveness to wane. She resigned from her governorship before finishing her first term. She has not run for anything since. She has been attracted to the glamour of TV via Hollywood and reality shows.

She still may be influential in supporting others, but I think she waited too long and allowed her ‘electableness’ to pass by. She is too incendiary to run for the presidency, as she would be a major distraction overshadowing the primary process.

She should have jumped into the 2012 cycle. That was hers, as the last party VP-nominee (from 2008).

I’m not saying she hasn’t done good things too. Just in that instance she should have announced early that she wouldn’t run instead of hinting she would and waiting until the end of September to announce she wasn’t, even after she said herself she needed to make a decision by August, which was already late in the game.

I think that Perry going back on his word and jumping in, upset her complicated plan.

Either way it didn’t hurt conservatives, except by not having her to take out Romney.

You know damn well she was being sued into oblivion by Obama operatives, so she had no choice but to step down.

That's true, and I don't blame her for resigning. But it should also be remembered that those lawsuits were possible because of "reforms" that she sponsored and signed into law.

Nor with the other -istas and and bots.

But, like with the Bushbots, it is fun to poke them every now and then and visualize them pound out nasty responses on their keyboards.

We will be getting more of the 'die-hards' when the primary season heats up. They will be on this and most other forum boards posting their preferred candidate propaganda in nearly every thread and doing the name calling -- 'you are an idiot', etc. that has already shown up in this thread.

Luckily for me, unless the south does rise again and force the RNC to allow them to have their primaries in early March, the nominee will be decided weeks before my state's late spring primary.

If she really was going to run she didn't need a complicated plan. She needed to announce early, build a national organization on the ground with the legions of TEA Partiers who would have volunteered, and run. That's how you win, not posting on Facebook about a "different kind of campaign". Blaming it on Perry or anyone else is just bullcrap.

Oh, I think she needed a complicated and fresh new plan to defeat Romney, remember that wasn’t really a primary, but a coronation, only a daring strategy was going to enable Palin to knock off Romney.

Sarah Palin MADE Ted Cruz. If it wasn’t for her, Dewhurst would be Senator.

Everyone is entitled to opinions. But never forget that Cruz wasn’t exactly an
unknown in the State of Texas when he ran for Senator.
