I am no longer a Republican. John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and their Democrat-lite, RINO Republican establishment have seen to that. They have betrayed their own constituents. They have actively turned against the American people the very voters who granted them power to do good.
Even before the gavel has sounded on the Republican-led 114th Congress, these treacherous cowards shamelessly, eagerly, it seems, squandered perhaps the one opportunity they had to stop, in his tracks, Americas first cultural Marxist, anti-American, palpably evil president.

actually, you are wrong again. What I advocate is what is in process and within the limits of what will work presently, is in fact working. Ted Cruz and others are the proof.
What I advocate is the rise of the GOPc....... the conservative wing of the GOP. The various conservative office holders acting in concert as the GOPc are and can obtain sufficient control to put forward a conservative agenda.
A third party of radicals will be like pissing in the wind. To gain power, raw political power, the mechanism is the GOPc. The GOPc will be strongly felt by the leadership in the very near future

I’m with you, bert.
Obama must get giddy every time he plays that Old Obama Mind Trick and gets conservatives to gnash their teeth at Republicans rather than to form lines and face the true adversary — Dems.
Already done, Timber Rattler. There was no recorded Vote on the rules.
The first post of this entire thread was based on a false premise.
I agree with your proposal. But short of that happening, the only way to get a real third party is to let the republican party die. It will die quicker if we stop voting for them just because they’ve got an “r” behind their name.
I also contend a “third” party, which by the time it happens, will be an opposition party, will be accepted more quickly if the “one” party in charge screws up so bad. Then people will be screaming for an opposition party.
That’s right and I never claimed that I voted FOR Romney....I didn’t vote FOR Nixon either but vote for them I did.
If you actually think that what O has done to this country can be undone in a single election cycle you are delusional. The left is always willing to take 10% of what they want and keep coming back for more. Sitting out an election and allowing them to win is cowardly.
You did not read my post or else you lack reading comprehension.
I would have voted for ANYONE other than Mitch McConnell if I lived in Kentucky....That isn’t the argument or the point.
Fair enough. Questions:
- Are there enough truly conservative choices to turn things around? Last I counted there were only a handful.
- If there are, where are they?
- If there aren't, why do we even have a FR much less hang out on it - is FR purely a social site that likes to tell us why we're doomed?

Never happen. Too many people don’t realize that if you vote for the lesser of two evils, you still get evil. They will “hold their stupid noses” and vote for the RINO. There has just got to be a divorce; a separation just prolongs the agony. Send the GOP the way of the Whigs..... into extinction!

How many “choices” do you need? Just one Ronald Reagan or one Ted Cruz or one Sarah Palin or one Jeff Sessions or one Mike Lee is enough. The DemocRATS, with the help of the MSM and the GOPe have so demonized Conservatives that it’s going to take a new Party and a fresh start to reintroduce Conservatism to America.
Your point is well taken, bert, and that is the “ideal” way to do it, but, it hasn’t worked. Please see my Post #110.
“history is a process, not an event” bert
You don’t seem to grasp the fact that the process is in process and the conservative agenda will begin to be implemented is some measure beginning very soon in spite of your desire to derail it
Here's hoping you are correct and we also get Cruz or comparable in next election and he pans out the way many envision/dream.
I keep hearing how nothing we do will work, but never hear of a workable strategy with solid rationale. "No way, No how, Ain't gonna happen" are not strategies, but it's most of what seems to pass for game plans by many of those who poo-poo every idea/thought that comes along. It would be really sweet if those who are so good at slamming all ideas/thoughts would be so kind as to lay out a positive plan of action - else we're just flailing about with no real purpose.
Ain’t that the truth?
If you wouldn’t make statements like that, people wouldn’t know just how ignorant you really are. I’m not trying to derail Conservatism. I’m trying to save it. You and your RINO, a** kissing buddies have pretty well destroyed it. How do you like the way Barack Hussein Obama is making them his b**ches? The last 5 GOP nominees for President: RINO, RINO, RINO, RINO, RINO..... No balls, no guts and no glory. Your way hasn’t worked, so stuff it.
