Hello all. Sitting here at home and wondering if anyone else out there is spending this evening alone.
On this night of all nights when families gather and friends share gifts and time, some of us are, for various reasons, spending Christmas Eve solo.
Not necessarily a bad thing - alone doesn't always mean lonely. But, it does mean alone.
Check in if that includes any of you, my fellow Freepers.
....”Good advice. LOL about flying to Israel”....
Oh yes...google earth has it so you can pilot a plane and fly all over Isreal ..in fact anywhere on the planet...even the deserts.....it’s fabulously enjoyable. Though I had to practice to keep the plane level! Ha!
I have learned too that when the mother or father depart whatever your relationship with each family member will esculate...if good then itll get even better...if bad...you likely wont see them much after if that.
And I thought we had a good tight relationship.... Someone has a spouse that is controlling them to do XYZ. But your spouse can’t make you do what you really are against. I feel like an orphan, like I lost everyone. And no one has even died yet.
Merry Christmas, dear.
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart breaks.
Yes, mental illness is debilitating. I’m worn out from his anger. And I believe it is toxic to his soul.
Oh yes indeed....I like Breyers in that flavor!
I’m so sorry, dearest Yaelle. I’m financially screwed, too. I can’t imagine 2015 getting worse for me, but it’s sure possible. Prayers and love for you.
It carries the most straightforward gospel story of the common Christmas songs. People are made to look for Christ. They have to fight not to.
Blessed Christmas, dearest, sweet you.
That actually sounds cool. I might play around with it and fly to Texas.
With respect the dust hasn’t settled yet.....ou’ll be surprised how things will level out with time....everyones “in process” in one form or another.
My sister and I remain close though for a time I didn’t speak with her....we never spoke about it. Some things you have to let go along the wayside and let God settle matters in his own good time...do what you can and let the rest just go.
As said, my sister is massively controlling....nothings going to change that about her and I finally just gave it up...now we speak and share as never before....
Give it time..God does do remarkable things with families.
I’m not trying to reach him.
He is lost and I guess he hasn’t the ability to pray to God.
I do, particularly for all great and important undertakings.
I wish and I pray the he finds God but, until one does, I don’t know how it is possible to reconcile oneself inwardly and find a direction that is more empowering.
Xo
Oh it’s such fun......but it does take time to get use to the panel because you are flying just as if in the very seat itself....Have fun!
That is beautiful.
Pretty much.
I saw this in my real father who to this day blames everyone else for not speaking with him and my Mom’s husband as well.
“It’s a great life if you don’t weaken”.
“Don’t take so seriously. No one gets out of this thing alive”
This is where the commonly quoted adage, let go and let God, comes into play. Let go of the things you cannot control and let God guide them instead. Don’t let chaos get you dancing to its tune.
There is nothing like losing a child. My younger daughter died in 2004, then in May, 2006, my brother died, in July, 2006, my husband died and then in January, 2007, my mom died. For some reason, this year has been hard. God bless.
I have a son who has “left” the faith for a time now....but he is an adult so after many tears and prayers I gave Him fully to the Lord who knows him so much better than I and loves him more.
It’s the letting go of them that’s so anguishing....you still think of them and love them but the struggle within ceases. Which is the relief I needed.
I remember that “He bore our grief and sorrows”...so it is with that verse I gave my son to the Lord along with the pain and sorrow....I knew right away God had done something within...I had PEace after that...remarkably so.
May you know that Peace very soon...
