New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said he will attend the funeral on Saturday for one of the two police officers killed over the weekend while they sat in their patrol car in Brooklyn.

I hope the wife slaps his face like Mrs Kittner did to Chief Brody

?
It would be nice if everybody at the funeral turned their backs on him when he walked in

I certainly hope that happens.
The union said they didn’t want him at cop funerals. So far as we’ve heard, Ramos’s widow hasn’t said that. She, in fact, greeted deBlasio in her home, and made some statement that sounded like it was written by a mayoral aide.
Nary a word from the Officer Liu’s family, nor visit made to them, either. There’s a larger hispanic constituency in NYC than there is Asian. Or Mrs. Liu might just be less open to a deBlasio than Mrs. Ramos.
Tell de Blasio the funeral is on Sunday.
Asian culture is generally very closed & restricted to within the family in times of death and distress. As for the Ramos family....I’ll be willing to bet that De Blasio “forced” himself on them, and, being that Officer Ramos was quite religious and a wonderful person....they have too much class to keep the Mayor away.
Of course, like all Obama, Democrat, vermin, they have no class or concern for anyone, but themselves. I am assuming that hundreds of police from across the country will attend the funeral. If so, along with their NYC brothers....they should make life miserable for De Blasio by just remaining silent & turning their backs on him!!! That would be the most effective way to show the entire country what a low life, cop hater this Obamabot vermin is!!!
Like his predecessor Bloomberg, he thinks his prayers hold more weight than the mere mortals he governs, and certainly, he believes his place in Heaven is assured. There is no hubris like the hubris of the elite ruling class.
If this guy truly respected these officers, he’d stay away and send someone else to represent the city.
What the killer couldn’t do after offing himself, DeBlasio is prepared to do for him, add insult to injury (death).
What a POS this guy is. I suppose Sharpton, Jackson, and Holder will show up too...
What’s the story about Blasé” changing his name????
I think Obama will show up at the funeral of Ramos!!!
With vermin like Obama.....nothing would surprise me........although, I believe Obama could care less about any police officer, regardless of who he or she is!!!! Obama cares about two things only....playing golf, and you can guess the second one!!!
Martyr Al Sharpton would be the worst possible outcome. No, I certainly don’t want any of them martyred. That’s how we got in this phase of CWII with St. Trayvon and St. Michael.
You’ll have to watch the movie “Jaws” to get that reference...
Never watched it. Never will.
T the one press conference of Ramos’ family, it seemed like they were not sure which side they were on - not the family themselves, but the politicians and activists that spoke seemed to criticize the police union official more than anyone else. It was depressing.
DeBlasio needs to keep out of the limelight and work diligently behind closed doors to repair the damage he has done. Making a public show, whether sincere or not, rubs salt in the wound. He can’t take back his words, which were hurtful and inflammatory, but he can take a back seat for the time being and allow emotions to cool. I don’t expect him to do that, but it would be best in the long run.
He visited the Ramos family and they were gracious. My bet is he would have visited the Liu family as well, but was rebuffed. We’ll find out.
Liu had only been married for two months...so probably just a widow and parents, or maybe no parents here.
Liu, 32, is survived by a wife of just two months, and an extended family who depended on him for financial help. After visiting Lius loved ones Monday, Gov. Cuomo said the family had practical concerns, like how do they now pay the mortgage on the house and medical bills for Lius ailing mother.
Gov. Cuomo apparently visited, but not DeBlasio.
I know the Ball team is going to help the Hispanic family children with education, as he had a college student and a 13 year old, but has anyone stood up to help Liu’s family?
