Hours after two NYPD officers were shot and killed, Patrick J. Lynch, President of the New York City Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, said there was "blood on many hands," including Mayor Bill de Blasio and people who have recently protested against police violence.

From what I saw, not even Charles Krauthammer or Glenn Beck would defend the cop involved with Garner.
That man died resisting arrest. It was tragic and unfournate, but that’s what happened. But for the actions of that man, he would still be alive. When you are put under arrest, turn around and raid your hands. You weren’t there, the only thing you know is the myopic view of that home video. A grand jury of 23 of his peers decided not to indict the officers you are judging from afar. duhblazio should have stood begins the people, instead he inflamed the situation, along w simpleton and ohdumbo.
If NY cops are unhappy with Lynch they will fire him. I would not hold my breath waiting for that to happen since the cops who turned their backs to DeBlasio were white, black and brown.
Palin was blamed for the Safeway shooting of Giffords just for putting “Don’t Retreat” and a crosshairs on a political flyer.
Those who were responsible for the shouting of, “What do we want? Dead cops.” should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for inciting violence.
Worst post of the thread.
One can question the nature of some of the recent deaths at the hands of police without rooting for someone to go out and shoot a police officer. Or does the First Amendment no longer apply where police actions are concerned and is everything a police officer does appropriate?
Garner did not die from asphyxiation. To say that he did is false information. To pass along incendiary false information is to incite people needlessly.
Now we have two cops dead because of it.
Another example: Yes, liberals should not point out hypocrisy in conservatives if liberals won't hold themselves to a high standard. But of conservatives posit that they are the champions of high standards, then they cannot say that liberals cannot point out there hypocrisy if they fail to do so.
If conservatives get to point out that liberals don't hold themselves to a high standard, then liberals get to coubnterpunch.
And if liberals point out when conservatives have been caught, then conservatives also get to counter punch.
People here need to hold to the transcendent standard that I am positing here, that goes above the fray, and doesn't get involved in “partisanship.”
No problem.
Thanks for contributing, even if we did wrangle a bit. :)

US Citizens blame Barack Obama & Hillary Clinton for the deaths of the Benghazi 4...until these cheats, liars, and self-appointed elites are driven out of office and ARRESTED, TRIED, and IMPRISONED - nothing will be done about the state of affairs that this nation as found itself in presently...
It wasn’t a choke hold. One of the pitfalls of not knowing anything of police work or street fighting is that people perpetuate lies that contribute to the lawlessness.
Ever since Obama gratuitously injected himself into a minor event in Cambridge, MA, he has shown himself to be an anti-police racist. Ditto Holder. Neither has spoken out forcibly telling the mobs both the Gardner and Brown killings were thoroughly investigated and the police exonerated. Instead, they both, especially Holder, have been far more vocal in criticizing the police, leaving the impression they are guilty despite what the grand juries concluded. The statements both have issued condemning the killing of these two officers seem totally hollow in comparison.
Sharpton and De Blasio are in a class of their own. The former is a cheap demagogue who exploits racial animosity for fun and profit and always has. Remember Tawana? De Blasio could have stood up for his police, especially after the grand jury rendered its verdict, but instead he chose to inflame the situation with stories such as he told about his son.
What Lynch said was right, if impolitic, and his critics ought look at those who created the toxic atmosphere which contributed to these deaths, and not Lynch.
NYPD officers love Patty Lynch and rightfully so
If the cop said that it wasn’t a choke hold, that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t, as no one - except God - should be believed without question.
I listened to former cops, former prosecutors on the major cable news networks. I noticed it was said that if breathing is constricted, then it is a chokehold.
These idiots won't be happy until there is violence against people of Traditional Values.
Lynch is looking out for his membership, that’s what a union does. Whether or not you agree with him two of his members have just been brutally murdered a little over twenty four hours ago so who can blame him for feeling as he does. The New York City Police Department is the largest police force in the world. No other police agency deals with what the NYPD does day in year out. I worked in NYC for almost fifteen years. I wouldn’t their job. This dirtbag of a mayor should resign immediately. He has no integrity or credibility and he has never had the support of the police. Without that the job of the mayor is virtually impossible and the city is ungovernable.
His breathing was not constricted by the hold, and they only found minor capillary breakage (not consistent with a chokehold, but simply with force applied briefly, in this case to pull him off of the other officer) on his neck and no damage whatsoever to his throat or any major blood vessels.
That’s why the left has had to drop the “chokehold” meme.
Resisting arrest? Across the spectrum - crossing all political lines it has been said - how exactly did he resist arrest?
There are other ways to have handled this, as has been noted on cable news by people formerly in law enforcement.
I am neither for chaos, nor am I for “Kneel before Zod,” either.
You say that I wasn’t there, and then bring in the grand jury an thus make a fallacious Appeal to Authority. Just because they are a grand jury doesn’t make them absolutely correct, especially if we don’t have a system that would be the best to have: bring in special prosecutors to handle all situations where cops kill someone.
That would ensure a fairer grand jury trial, remove any chance of local DA’s (who work with these local cops on a regular basis having their fallible humanity leak in, and thus potentially blind their judgment), and take away an argument that protesters are using against the cops and local DA’s/PA’s.
The mayor’s name ain’t DeBlasio, by the way, he changed it from Wilhelm. Second, he’s a longtime communist, admirer of Csstro and Nicaragua and traveled to Cuba illegally; there is nothing positive about this individual. I have no sympathy for DeBlasio whatever; the police did exactly the right thing in turning their backs on him.
