WASHINGTON -- Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) blamed this weekend's killing of two NYPD officers on anti-police "propaganda," for which he said President Barack Obama bears some responsibility.
"We've had four months of propaganda, starting with the president, that everybody should hate the police," said Giuliani during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday." "I don't care how you want to describe it -- that's what those protests are all about."
Giuliani cited the nationwide protests against institutional racism and police brutality that followed the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and Eric Garner in New York, and that flared up anew after the respective grand jury decisions not to indict the officers responsible in either case. Giuliani said those demonstrations, and the ongoing criticism of police tactics and the criminal justice system, were part of what led to the shooting of two NYPD officers in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon. Police say the alleged shooter, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, traveled to New York from Baltimore with the intention of killing police officers.

This is the same demagoguery the lefties were doing to us after Oklahoma City. There is nothing conservative about Rudy. Never has been. He’s a big union, big state jerk who thinks government exists to run our lives. Watching him get demolished in ‘08 was truly sweet.
It is tragically ironic that people ignored Obama’s racist past, books and associations, only to rush into voting for him because he was black.
Now we witness a racial lynching, not a war. War involves two sides. When street justice begins to sterilize the streets of these thugs in the same way they wish upon the police, then it will be a war, and one that should not need last long.
Rudy is right, and the Huff Post is still full of leftist $h!t.
Rudy, warts and all, would have been a much better POTUS than anyone the Republicans have nominated since Reagan.
I believe he would have been a good one.
But Freepers vetoed him and they got Obama.
How do you like your President now?
Rudy pretty much tells you what he thinks.
We would have been better off with Rudy over McCain, mitt, W, or any of the other lame choices.
pinging
nice
I’d sure like to see him as Governor....and I think he could beat every Dem.
He’s spot-on with that statement.
Deblasio, Obama, Sharpton... all of them.
Those two cops paid with their lives for all of the BS racial rhetoric these three were carping about.
Police departments across the country need to be on alert for more of this kind of crap now.
Rudy a real beating out here, for sure.
Not a big fan of some of Rudy’s positions on issues, but when he talks about crime and law and order I’m all ears. I think he’d make a great attorney general.
