Across the street from the hospital where two Brooklyn police officers were brought after being murdered, there were carnations and a makeshift memorial: a cardboard box and a handmade sign in marker reading, "R.I.P. NYPD." Hundreds of cops saluting as the bodies were rolled out with a full escort by highway patrol. Citizens were watching in shock from above on the subway station.
Throughout New York, the execution-style killing of these officers in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn has generated a near-universal sense of horror at the crime -- and sympathy for the victims.
"Now we have two families that's missing someone from the holidays," a Bedford-Stuyvesant resident told a local news station. "Where's your sense of humanity?"
But the scene outside Woodhull Hospital wasn't entirely supportive. "You're a bunch of killers," a passerby told cops standing sentry there, according to one police source. And short distance from the crime scene -- where a crowd was backed up by the police tape -- a few members of the crowd repeated "fuck the cops" within earshot of a Daily Beast reporter.

The residence in these nieghborhoods are going to get a rude awakening when they need help when thier brothers and sisters misbehave.
there would be a steady stream of exiting refugees as the thugs took over the area
Maybe they should police themselves and see where that gets them. Sorry POS.
Hey Bed Sty, got a problem and need a Cop, call a Gang Banger. You reap what you sow. Enjoy your day.

Let the natives tend to their own policing and calls about KFC not honoring their coupons...: )
Exactly what happened in NJ; by the time Newark NJ laid off 160+ cops a few years ago, the impact on crime was negligible. They hadn’t been enforcing laws for years...
This is what happens when the Media directed by Obama runs the country.
What yis being witnessed is a very successful propaganda campaign
We have no “media”, no “press” what we have is pure government issue and controlled propaganda.
There can be no denial.
New York City might be considered the "flip-side" of Newark. After Giuliani was elected, the police began enforcing laws more stringently.
Black on black crime, call Sharpton. It is open season on whites and especially white cops.
Pray America is waking
This insane anti-cop crap has to stop.
There were and are genuine issues of police abuse, specifically with these damn SWAT teams, but the overwhelming majority of police officers do a difficult, dangerous, and thankless job.
They and their families never know if they are going to see each other again when they leave for work in the morning.
And I lay the primary blame on the shoulders of that damn racist bastard in the White House and his damn racist acolytes like that lying bastard Al Sharpeton, Reggie Jackson, DeBlasio, etc.
Reggie Jackson?
Should we expect different behavior from these animals after Obama not only accepts the flame throwing racist words of Sharpton and Jackson, but condones and supports them?
The NYPD need to go on strike until De Blasio & Veverito resign. Short of that, the NYPD should refuse to provide security for these 2 idiots, refuse to provide security for Sharpton & all the race agitators within the city or coming to the city.
Forget it. He's on a roll.
Sorry wrong Jackson.
I just heard a former NYPD detective, Bo Dietl, I think, on Fox. Wow. He just went on a wonderful tirade against the mayor. Called him Big Bird, an idiot, laid the responsibility for this tragedy on his head. It was great to hear someone lose it and tell the truth rather than being so guarded in their opinion.
A hand full of people say all cops are evil, and you immediately assume that all the people in the area agree with that. Where are you any different from them?
People do not appreciate anything that they do not have to earn, including their freedom.
